Louie Prima and Keeley Smith's show in Las Vegas started late ..like 2AM so the other entertainers could come to the show's. Louie Prima show was a favorite of the Rat Pack... Sinatra, Sammy, Dean-O, Joey B and the rest.

Lots of props for Louis and Keeley as expected and warranted but Sam Butera was pivotal to the success of the act. A top of the line sax player, and jazz vocalist, Butera was the arranger of the music for the group ("Jump, Jive and Wail" is definitive Butera). His vocals on "Next Time" are worth a listen.

I was not disappointed. I never knew he wrote Sing, Sing, Sing. I love that tune! I didn't care for Keely's bored stage persona. What a drag to a great bunch of energetic and happy guys making music and having fun doing it. I preferred Gia Maione who smiled and got into the mood with Louis, Sam, and The Witnesses.
