After 100 days of Vannamei Shrimp Farming in Biofloc System, today I have harvested the shrimps. Total harvested biomass was 49kg from a 10,000-liter tank, which is close to 5kg per Cubic Meter. I had tocked close to 2500 pcs and finally I manage to harvest 1430 pcs of Vannamei Shrimps. Around 1070 pcs died during the culture period even though the results are pretty good.
In my next culture, I will go with a higher stocking density like 700 pcs per cubic meter and will see the results. Vannamei Shrimp Farming is challenging farming in aquaculture and doing in Biofloc system is another challenge. So need to have good information and better practice.
Friends, if you have any queries related to this subject, please feel free to share your thoughts by comment below and I will try to respond to you as earliest as possible.

Real person, real video and real information...
Thank you so much
Solid video bro! 💪

Instead of high tanks make low tanks with more surface area do the 10000 liters have more area. Shrimp density is measured by surface area not water volume. If you increase stocking density next time it will only increase mortality rate.
Bigger shrimps kill smaller shrimps when they are moulting out of their shell which results in high mortality rate. Tanks with more surface area and hiding places for moulting(pipes and other small things in the water) can reduce mortality. You can also try by doing multiple tanks and then exchanging shrimps between tanks by their size so bigger shrimps cant be with smaller ones
Thank you so much for your lovely suggestions. But I want to try and see it practically as there are no contents available on internet. I want to see it live by doing it, so that I can show the people, its not the right way of doing it. I just want to explore it for my knowledge
Sir...is it possible to farming black tiger shrimp in biofloc ?
Sir..rply plz
Shrimps are naturally deep see creature.
And this is not crayfish that kills each other😂
@@sanjayghosh9139 well u can but advantage of reducing fcr cant be done and also tiger shrimp or monodon is cannibalistic in nature high stocking is kind of risky and more than 60% of seed has wssv, ehp due to lack of healthy broodstock unlike vanamei.
what about other expenditure ! Electric consumption, medicine etc
You can add Rs.10-Rs.20 per Kg as other expenses
You are a professional. Thanks for the upload.
Thanks for watching!
Real man & real say all things about spring farming .thanks great job & for your video again thanks a lot of
Thanks 👍
Where are raw salt, proviotic, electricity, minarel & maintain cost etc.?
34 count: it will take a minimum of 3 months to reach that size. How about the costs incurred for Electricity, Manpower, Site Lease, Health care products, Miscellaneous (Transport, Infrastructure maintenance, Rate of interest on investment, Cost of green house tent, etc.). I feel it will be a loss if you do it in small scale.
Small tanks are not recommended for shrimp culture, first you need to think how much product you want based on which setup the tanks.
Stocking 200pcs per 1000 lit is small in a Biofloc system but increasing to 700pcs must be difficult when the survival of the 200pcs culture was 60% only. There should be something to improve, aeration, water management or feeding. But the growth in 100days is exceptional!
Hats off for your transparency dude...

Thank you so much

Great Kallol. You are one of the most authentic knowledge source for new comers.
I have one query, do these shrimp molt in 100 days and how do you remove the discarded shell.
Yes they do and also we remove them
The shrimp shell they will consume it. Why discard? The shrimp contain alot of nutrients. No offence, this is just my opinion.
Good information
Thanks
Nice video parida babu.
Thank you so much
You are innovative and impressive. you have done a fantastic achievement keep it up.
I have 3 doubts please explain.
No.1 What is salinity(ppt) maintained for this particular tank?
No.2 what are all the minerals you added during this culture apart from the feed?
3. Have you added any molasses , probiotics during this culture?
Thank you. Do it in fresh water and I do bit differently than the traditional farmers
Good video
Thanks
Wow ❤❤
Thanks
Super bhai

@@RoadtoBioFloc you can get 10 to 13 kg per m3 by just modify your system
Very Happy for you brother, it’s great to see first successful Biofloc shrimp culture.
It would be great if you share the details of how to maintain and how much to maintain minerals in water, how one must add minerals, is it possible to get all the minerals from see salt or need to add artificially.
And desperately waiting to see high density culture.
Thank you .
Thank you so much
@@RoadtoBioFloc hi there, tqvm for your shares.. May i know, is it 0ppt fresh water?..do u teach? Tks
Amazing growth. Congratulations.
Is salt water & biofloc combination possible. I mean can saltwater fish be grown in biofloc ?
Some percentage of salinity helps in many different ways. You can google it, the role of salt in aquaculture

Lovely video. Admire the effort you put in to share such valuable information. 👍 What is the entire set up cost for the tank with the systems in place?
Please call me sometimes, will explain
@@RoadtoBioFloc is there any way to setup a small tank just for myself?
This is actually great even if you had smaller space you still got almost 60% succes rate...
If you had wider tank it could be 80% succes..this good.
Luckily shrimp has higher price than fish..
Your biofloc is for catfish.
Yes
Great Video! Thanks for the upload
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh grate ! Sir i believe it's enough knowledge to culture in 1 or 3 lakh litters tank . What i need to know about this breed is Ato Z process for the same. 1 water management,2 feed process, and day to day check notes. Kindly help with your experiences.
Feed expense is more compared to others. You can consider Rs.10-Rs.20 Per Kg as other expense
Very nice.👍
Still need datails about diseases/ export options / standards sand best training center etc.
Any how thank you for information.
Thanks
Beautiful sir! Is it possible that you can have this video translated in English? Looks very informative and practical. Hope you would post one in English. Great job!

Welcome
Sir
I have seen all your videos and I am following you. You are almost a teacher to me. I've seen that you was answered almost all questions with great patience. It's really great. I've cleared my doubts with other comments or questions.
As per my knowledge you added extra aeration power to the tank and you are not considered power/electricity bill. I am not interested to add man power in this.
So my question is if your net profit is so low how we can manage with 4 or 6 tanks of 10000ltrs?
CIBA manual of 2019 is promoting 3000 to 5000 PL for one cubic meter? Is this really we can practice? If not why CIBA manual is wrong?
Post CIBA manual link plz
Sorry Kallol sir
It was a 300 to 400 per cubic meter and above 5000 is for nursery PLs. I was confused.
Stinivas garu CIBA aap is available in play store please check it. CIBA or ICAR training manual for biofloc pdf is available on google search. Iam unable to copy link from mail to here
Thank you
Great video! I wonder what feeds do you provide to your shrimps? Pls help. Thx
Commercial Feeds like FP, Avanti, Lion
Congratulations Kallo.
Great job!! Hats off!
Kallo where can one obtain Tiger prawn spawn?
I live in Africa a country called Kenya.
You can import it from India if you wish to there are many hatcheries are here in India

Hi Sir..... Very informative video.... I am planning to fish farming... So going through lot of videos on UA-cam. What is difference between RAS and Biofloc method. And is biofloc advantage to RAS
Bifloc system is based on bacteria whereas the RAS based is filter based
Very good to see your journey, it's has good average growth 34 grams and looks very healthy, But mortality rates is too high, can you please share the details what went wrong ?
could be low salinity
It happened during the transportation.... it was known to us...
Nice info bro, I am from bbsr. Will Contact you soon for more knowledge.
