Hi, just wondering what size your building is?

Hi Simon, The building is 66.55 Meters Long 16.75 Meters Wide and is 12 ft to the eves. I would recommend taking the building to a minimum of 14 ft to the eves and go taller if you can as this will help with ventilation,

Thanks for that, do you find the cows enough feed space given that you have 3 rows of cubicles?

@@simonscott4887 Yes Simon. We had to design the building to feed on one side because the land is not level enough to feed on both sides. that's why we made it longer. There is currently 105 cows in the building, the only time all the cows are at the feed fence is if we leave them a little tight for feed the night before so at feeding they all want to feed at the same time. Even then there is only about 8 to 12 cows that cant fit in. With this system you never usually get all the cows wanting to feed at the same time, some are milking some are lying down. To make sure they don't all want to feed at the same time, make sure they have a good supply of feed on offer at all times. This stops the over crowding at the feed fence. I hope this helps😀

Nice farm! How many cows are the max for the robots you think? And does the zero grazing make it disquit in the barn? Is the farm now a one man show, or is there still help needed?@@yorkshirefarming
