Ayee were in the same boat I just bought my 8 year old daughter a lil 50cc and I got myself a 125 to putt around on with her lol once she gets a lil experience I'll get her a 70 and then I'll grab me a 250 haha :P
The ass splitting part had me dying. Reminded me of when I was about 12-13.... I was skiing and doing a run during a contest where I was supposed to do a switch 720. I ended up over rotating it and landed perfectly sideways at 810. Being young and not confident , I kind of collapsed/sat down instead of trying to power through it and I swear one butt cheek stayed right there where I landed and the other one stretched 1 foot away. I thought I had shit my pants and my ass was hurting so bad I didn't even get up... I could barely move and I just managed to wiggle myself into the woods beside the landing where I cried and checked my underwear to see if I shat them. I hadn't...The commentators had no idea what the hell I was doing. Haha. Anyway. This story always cracks me up and so I thought I'd share it. Thanks for the great content. If I've learned one thing, it is to compensate for wind today!!! lmbo I had my own 4th gear 450 whiskey throttle over the gnarliest moguls at high speed this week, and luckily didn't get hurt from doing a combat roll out. lol Just scraped up a very little bit...glad I prayed before riding. lol 😆🤣😂
Man I hate jumping with a side wind. I've jammed up my right knee a few times as a kid racing out at West Texas MX out in Midland during the Lions of March because of strong gusts of wind and doing the same thing throwing my my leg down trying to counter the wind blowing me sideways.
Squeezing the bike with legs is not talked enough about as well.. just had a buddy think could hit a pretty big jump and when he hit it seat hit his butt sent him to the moon over the bars.. broke collar bone ,wrist & hurt back.. it long like his feet had spi gs under him when hit the ramp.. he went alot higher then his bike.

I think u said it with abigger jump u mite have a look back opp but to small like u said...back in 95 i was starting to get fancy pre jumping jumps to stay low at sleep hollow pro national track they had a ski jump cliff an i bounced the rear before the lip an the rebound was so slow i almost endowed down the hill on a loaner brand new pro bike...oh that almost sucked..cool u didnt get any injury...expect pride right...i like cow bell am air horn for motivation
