- This is a track of me jamming along to one of my backing tracks. I used a Gibson Les Paul Standard into a Line 6 HD300 for the guitar sounds. The track was recorded using Reason 6. A link to the backing track will be available on screen for you to use as a jamming track too. Hope you enjoy. There are a few bum notes and unwanted string, oh well!!

Found this video when I was 14 or 15 and could not get enough, I must’ve listened to it everyday for about a year. Well, im 24 now and still come back every now and again to hear this masterpiece. Cheers from Florida, USA 🇺🇸
Thats brilliant. Thanks for continuing to take a look and enjoy it.
"The blues is easy to play, but hard to feel" - Jimi Hendrix. I can feel it, truly beautiful. Stand proud.
david kelly Wow thank you kind sir. Jimi quote relating to one of my vids.....I feel honoured thank you.
Jimmi wear the strato
4:30 Sure, couldn't get any easier. Maybe easy for Jim, but not for me.
This is definetely not easy (almost 10 years playing guitar)
I can definitly feel the blues bit i have difficulties to play the blues i feel. 🙈🙊🙉
I have watched and commented many times and I still reckon this is one of the best blues and playing by anybody at any time..
I remember watching this video like 7 years ago it’s still epic
And here you are again 🙏 Cheers for coming back again. ✌️
finally someone knows how emotional the blues are
Nassim Harraka Cool man thanks. I just love jamming my way through stuff! Story of my life I guess!
I have been watching this video for years and never get tired of it.
Ah cheers mate. That’s cool.
There isn't a single improv on youtube that can even come close to this. Just fantastic !
That is very kind. Thank you.
2.00am in Sydney and I am back to hear this epic jam again. So good it can’t be taken in even after years of watching the video. 😍
One of the first videos I watched after buying my first guitar 5 years ago. A haunting melody and awesome jam, absolutely stunning.
That's awesome!
and this, danny, is my favorite piece...i listen to it over and over again...sometimes 10 times in a row....i don't know why this masterpiece has fascinated me so much I wish...I could just do 20% of what you've got on the guitar
Must have listened to this about 300 times and it STILL makes my hair stand on end in a totally good way. Absolutely sublime. Sheer genius!
Awesome playing! I've been watching this video for years, probably my favorite on YT. Smooth, soulful, and aggressive at the same time. A piece of art, without a doubt!
Very kind of you. Thank you ✌️
This never gets old!! It gets better and better every time I watch this .. I love this man..thank you for inspiration brother.. I can't help but go to my music room every time I listen to this and jam out to this backing track!! Thank you brother!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for the continued viewing.
@@DannyPage ill have to record a jam.session to this jam.track amd send it to ya ...see what ya think! Appreciate all the stuff ya do man
I've listened to this solo probably 80 times and I cannot get enough of your playing...freakin amazing finger work with the most incredible Les Paul tone
Excellent! Keep on listening mate. Have you listened to my latest jam? ua-cam.com/video/f85NdboIbmc/v-deo.html to my John Mayer style track. If you like this one you will hopefully like the new one! I'm not trying to sound like Mayer by the way. Its just my own jam over that particular track! Hope you enjoy! Thank for the comment and watching my vids..
Same here, got it saved to my playlist ...So smooth !
90
Same here. Been in my favorites a while now.
Danny Page what amp is this and what do you use??
That fucking lick from 4.57 to 5.10 is my favourite blues lick of all time, sometimes i just click the video and listen to that lick 20 times everyday, keep playing you're such an inspiration, thank you
I see this D Minor Jam clip, I clicked on it and I'm watching this guy Jam... about halfway through I'm completely blown away! That's when I say to myself "who is this guy " I look down to see I'm watching Mr Danny Page !!! Then it all made sense... excellent guitar playing, wow ! thanks again Danny.
Yep it’s defo me! Thanks Jeff.
Your skill was clearly already astronomical when this video was published eight years ago, I can't imagine how even more phenomenal you must be now!
Great playing man!
Thank you. I really need to practice more now. Three kids later and the time for guitar shrinks.
One of my favourites!!!! You just nailed It completly
You were born to play. The guitar is playing you. Outstanding.
At 73 I'm still learning and so much to take from here. Just f'n wonderful, takes one to a great space.
Very cool comment. Thank you.
Danny, I have just got to say... this is easily one of the very best improv jams I've heard on UA-cam. The track itself is fantastic, and your use of the minor and harmonic minor scales is masterful. Classy. Tasteful. Haunting. And you maintain that 'real' blues vibe throughout the song. Some seriously intelligent phrasing is goinng on here, folks. Honestly, I am ready to buy your album...
00xanawolf00 Ha! Amazing comment. Thank you sooo much for the kind words. Unfortunately there isn't an album as yet. But I will advertise on my channel, facebook and insta when I do.
It would be great if you could make a video to teach that solo. What a great solo!
Yep. There are very, very few videos that teach a whole solo. That is sorely needed, because you can get the feel of the transition between chords, and also the turnaround, instead of trying to memorize riffs, which for me, are promptly forgotten. Also, get the feel for dynamics, tonal changes...
Danny Page
Hey everyone. This is something that gets asked quite a lot in one form or another. My problem is that it was a jam and I would need to work it out. So probs wouldn't play it the same way again. I did tab out a few licks from the jam (they can be found on my website) and also featured some of the licks in my lick friday series. I will hopefully get around to tabbing out the whole thing (or pay someone to do it) but it wont be soon unfortunately. Sorry to disappoint, but there are a few licks from this jam currently tabbed, Just not all of them. Cheers for loving the jam though. Im overwhelmed at the response from this video. Thanks again.
what a talented, ambitious guy ... I've heard it 100 times ... sorry for bad English, I was born in Russia and have been in Germany for 20 years
Your English is fine. And your music taste is good too.
This is the best blues piece to ever be played in the history of history
Any time I'm lacking inspiration, I come back to this video and watch you play. Works every time, cheers
That’s cool. Very very humbling to receive these comments. ✌️
Man , that was so awesome . My favorite solo .
Cheers matey. 🤙
I love this masterpiece; i have downloaded t and listen to it every day about 3 months. it makes me cry...thanks Danny
the fact that I come here only twice a year to remember this masterpiece is astounding to me.Great work intact one of the best I've heard
The fact that this is an improv jam amazes me. What a captivating video, such class. Thoroughly enjoyed this video, loved the fast part as well, absolutely brilliant.
this is high art bro.. it will outlive both of us..
Just fantastic. Killer tone and phrasing.
Im still, years later, mesmerized by this video. The soulfulness is tangible. I can watch you play like this for hours in a trance.
Me to this solo is on point 🤘
Jeezus effing christ this performance never gets old.
Can't get enough of it. Whenever I lose my inspiration towards playing the guitar, vibing to this is one of not so many paths to take when I seek inspiration. Thanks man, brilliantly done!
Very kind Marko. Cheers.
Holy crap... I have put Danny's video's on and used them as background music while I work. Such talent!!!
So your the one pushing the view count up, right?! Cheers dude... Danny
@@DannyPage No, we all are 'cause we FFFing love it!!
Out of your 1.8 mil views I'm probably 1/10th of them 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 can feel this in my soul. As a southern rock blues boy myself this speaks loud and clear and I can vibe to it all day
I bow down to you good sir, there are no words to describe how wonderful you play
Just want you to know, I was listening to this and my wife just walked into the room and said "what are you listening to, SRV?" Dead seriously too.
I cant think of a better compliment.
That’s a big compliment right there. Says thanks for me please.
Best time spent on youtube. This impro it's just what it has to be.
What a Guy!!!!! This is Gary Moore 's unique soulful playing.....Gibson Les Paul is crying like a humble prayer.....Keep it going man ........'till the end ...'till the end...........
I've watched all your videos, and the better I get, the more impressed I am with your skill set. There is everything in your technique..everything.
bro, you are a good musician.
I bet this dude has that SRV stank-face...Righteous jam dude, fucking righteous goddamned jam!
Poker face start to finish!!
BADASS performance! I can't wait till i get to play like that!!
Dylan Lucks simply amazing. Nothing simple about your ability though. Thank you for sharing your gift.
BADASS, is that a tuning?
@@enredigjavlasmorgastarta3972 Yeah. And if you're on an 8 string it's BADUMTSS.
I see what we did there.
Hats off brother, thank you for keeping the tradition.
Excellent. Full of touch feel and superb phrasing and without resorting to stupid super quick playing. It's always great to hear a guitarist who is in control of himself as well as the instrument.
Wow....I would give anything to be able to play like that. You, Sir, have a gift.
Give your time and soul
whenever I want to hear some powerful slow blues I end up watching this video again cause there’s just not much that compares to this kind of style/feeling. just an incredible performance!! btw I need this on Spotify to listen to it when driving.. but I can only find the bare backing track. please release the full jam 😍🙏🏻
David, hi. Thank you for a cool comment. I will be releasing a album with this jam included very soon. The album will be called “The UA-cam Sessions” and will be most of the jam solos that have appeared here on UA-cam. I will pin a comment with links once released.
David you are so right. When I want to listen to amazing heartfelt blues I too wind up dialing up youtube to watch what has become my favorite blues video.
Thank you Danny for showing us all what it's like to feel the blues. You are truly gifted!
it has a feeling from million miles away......................thank you
THIS is soul. This is exactly the kind of thing I play when I get lost in my six string. PLEASE post more like this.
your solo marked my life, man
Awesome! Big comment. Thank you.
still great in 2024
The guitar is playing him. Beyond great!!!!!
Разум воплощённый в звуках....🙌
It sounds like you just made love with Music
Missed this one!! Thanks for the Love making comment!
Damn...... It's beautiful !!!
One of the most bad ass blues solos I've ever heard. I have offered to pay for a lesson on this and never get a response. I guess he's being a magician and not telling secrets. This is something that should be shared. Amazing guitar work!
Hey! I do skype lessons if you are interested? Have a look on my website for details... Cheers mate and sorry for late reply!
Haha! I come back 9 years later to see if the vid is still here and it’s like it never stopped from day 1. Well done sir!
Intoxicatingly bluesy. Loved it absolutely!
Dust in the wind. Iesson
Nice phrasing, sounds like some Gilmour influence.
Agree!!!!!
Just listening for the 38th time. Danny! Youre unbelievable!
My God man you are the man,I could listen forever to you playing guitar
Superb playing and perfect tone. MAGNIFICENT!!
Cool. Thanks Calum.
I was just noticing there is 9 dislikes on this video.. How can you dislike this ? If you play guitar and respect music how could you dislike it? Those nine people must be absolutely flawless.... Give the guy his respect .. Keep pumping out the lick lessons Danny .. You are one of my mentors now so ya can't stop making videos.. Something in this same key but to a different groove if possible. Thanks
Flawless? Doubting it. Anyone that would give this kid's playing a thumbs down is a fucking tone deaf but-muncher. Seriously talented people inevitably elicit jealousy and envy from aforementioned munchers of ass.
Will do Russell. I have more tracks coming but summer is a busy time so tracks take a little longer to finish. Dm licks will be coming. Cheers dude, thanks for watching.
Blown away!! I don't have words to describe this.
You Sir, KILLED IT! BRAVO! Your playing is exceptionally clean, tasteful, and dripping with soul! Your phrasing is truly magnificent and your tone is absolutely inspiring. You have been blessed with the gift of playing in such a way that one can actually feel your emotion pouring out through the guitar and there are very few who can do that nowadays!
Wow! Thank you very very much. That’s a very kind comment.
Gibson is crying bro, whenever I feel upset or sth. im here.- Thx for sharing this emotional solo, i can't find description. Kepp goin' nice job.
+emirhan can Cheers my man! Im absolutely stoked that people like this so much.
+Danny Page The phrasing is perfect.
dude you sound exactly like in my head i'd like to sound
When playing it this is not how I was hearing either.
I myself have just begun my journey to learn to play at 58 years old my friend. I listen to you every day as a prelude to my practice for inspiration. Thankyou for aspiring me to learn to play. I enjoy every minute of it. Cheers!
Charlie Daspit Hey Charlie. Thank you so much for the extremely kind words. Would love to use this comment on my website if that’s ok with you? Cheers for the very cool comment. 👌✌️
Danny Page by all means im only just beginning but you have inspired. Certainly use my comments. They are my true thoughts and feelings. Thank you so much for the videos. Keep them coming. Always look forwards to Friday. Thanks again.!
I've been obsessed with guitar instrumentals my entire adult life and honestly this guy is probably in the top 10 blues and rock guitarists that I've heard. I can't believe that this guy isn't famous while bad Bharbie has 60 million views on UA-cam.
jon r Mate you are too kind. I just love playing to be honest. It is what it is and I guess the right time, right place and people you know in the industry really does matter. Unfortunately I don’t know many people in the industry apart from guitar players! They are not likely to give me the good gigs 😕. Thanks for the comment mate. It really does make me feel welcomed into the guitar world ✌️👍🏼
That's one mighty fine blues riff indeed.
Cool matey thank you.
Amazing talent!
That perfect video to slow down to 0,5 and try to get a few references from this genius. Thanks Danny, thanks youtube, thanks internet!
Amazeballs! ... you killed it!!! I'm new to guitar and blues is my poison. Every time I think I am wasting my time, a video like this comes along and reminds me that the magic is in the work. thanks for being awesome.
Man, that was AWESOME!!!! Congrats!!
Holy shit... this is just awesome
I just listened to it twice
Joel Poblete Haha cool thank you
one of those tunes that you wish they wouldn't end... amazing!
One of the best blues..
melodious & soothing to the soul brother
Well played, don't know how much I listened to this. (y)
Cheers dude!
Kigwahun ka huwyahahahahaha
Dude, Please make a tutorial video of your solo step by step. I am so keen to learn some of your playing techniques. You just nailed Dm.
I have a series on UA-cam called #lickfriday Each week a new lick. Some from my jams, some over new jam tracks and some are styled from famous players. We are now on week 290!!! For this solo, the first few mins has been tabbed out and broken down in a tutorial on my Patreon page. Takes me so long to work it out.
I've only just discovered your channel danny. I'm a complete metal head, I've have never been a fan of the blues in any form and I absolutely love this. This has opened up the genre for me. Thanks so much for your work.
Me too to be honest. Was a metal head and then I discovered Blues! Must have mellowed me and open up so many musical doors....
This. This is one of the greatest things I ever heard, it gave me goosebumps. Incredible man, huge well done
Only one word to describe this. AWSOME!
Peter Edwards *AWESOME (I don't mean this in a bitchy way or something, just want to help)😉
Nearly 2 million views - I think 1 million by me at least..
Yeah it’s cool. Never though it would go anywhere near 100k but this is epic. 🤘
3 years later and I'm back! Such a great JAM!
This solo got me into blues music like 4 years ago. Still loving it, thank you for this masterpiece

That's what you call some smooth emotional blues Rock right here 😰😵🔥🔥😎. Love for your dedication in this
Beautiful, your tone and style feels the same as watching the sunset over a majestic ocean.
Very nice, beautiful melody. One of the best improvisations that I heard. Congrats.
Nice Thanks.
one of the best improvisations i have seen on youtube along with your other jams..
+määp Awesome thank you!
Reminds me of a friend who passed away awfully bittersweet he taught me how to play guitar, though of him as soon as I heard this, thanks man beautiful blues jams!
Pleased to indirectly remind you of your friend. Hope you heal well..
Danny Page, I dont understand why this video doesnt have millions of view...
Love it, awsome blues. Picking up hints of Gilmore, Page and Vye. Sweet flicks
Wow. Thanks for the comment.
Gilmore, Page, I get. But who the heck is "Vye"???
maybe Bye
Vai
But there's more Clapton than Vai in there, and some Gary Moore, too. Nice, nice job.
this is just unreal phrasing and touch, tone.
Gotta be the best improvised blues I've seen on here !!! Inspiring stuff
Without a doubt, this is my favorite of all of your videos. Love the licks, and most of all, the feeling you put into the performance.
Wow that was fantastic my friend beautiful sound could listen to it all day
Cool Do it it will push the view up!!!
Wow.. Very impressive sir. Can't wait to get to get that level. Truly insperational for me. Jam on brother
Simply awesome!
