I must have watched about a thousand crabbing videos this year. I don't see enough of guys like you crabbing on small craft I like kayaks and canoes. Everybody seems to think they need a 100-foot boat just to run a couple thousand foot trotline. I'm just getting started in the crabbing business down here in Texas and could barely put a hole under my butt can barely put a hull have any sort between me and the water. I have a couple of guys that are going to start running lines with me and I'm thinking seriously about getting a couple of flat back canoes with small motors so my guys can just take off on their own without paying a Year's wages to make it happen. Thanks for the inspiration and education, fellas.
If you don't mind me asking where do you buy your crab pots from? I'm new to crabbing and I need to get some crab pots just like the ones you're using!
I am a inland freshwater guy that has really got the urge to crab a trotline and I'm really unfamiliar with the saltwater area .could you point me in the direction of a launch that I could launch out of safe in a smaller boat. it's not a super small boat but it's a bass boat it's got a very shallow draft and i don't like to be in rough water for my first trout line experience.

I'm 70 and this takes me back to being a kid and crabbing in a creek near my parents home.
What region of the country did you grow up?
@@norrisgoodjr Chesapeake, Va. Crabbed the tributaries of the Elizabeth River.
Exactly what I want to learn. thank you!
What creek is that? Beautiful area!
Great video!!! Trying to research it if I can run a trotline on a kayak!!! Pots would be second choice/ and or bonus crabs to the trotline
I am going to be trying to run a trotline off my kayak later this summer. Good luck when you try it!
