I switched to ceramics from semi metallic, the difference is HUGE!!!! Before when I was washing my car and just a huge black puddle of dust under the tire it was nasty, just recently switched to ceramics and when I wash my car hardly any dust I hardly see anything wash away from the brake area.

It's great eh? Just think of all the wheel cleaner you're saving!

yeah I really love it, I think the breaking is a tiny bit weaker but its like 1-3 % weaker, and yeah paid probably $30 more per pad but man trust me people its worth it, just make sure you do everything together pads and rotors and make sure lubricate the right areas and you won't regret the upgrade.

Did you notice some feel in breaking? like less stoping power when brake is cold?

Only when you first start driving and they're cold. After stopping a few times they feel normal. At first they made a bit of noise but after a few weeks it went away and hasn't come back (even when it was cold).

I doubt that you switched to ceramic pads if they behave as you describe , your other video points out that you switched to ate ceramic brake pads , which is semi metallic with some small compound of ceramic in it, switch to entirely ceramic brakes like from EDC and you will see the difference

Did you find that the Semi- metallics gave you more intial bite than the ceramics ? thanks.

I haven't noticed too much of a difference except when it's cold out or when the car has been sitting or was washed and any heat is gone. When that happens though it doesn't take too long for them to warm up.
Also, I haven't had any squealing which is something I've heard people having when it's cold.

I switched from OEM to ceramics on my BMW e46 ZHP, and changed back
after a few weeks due to the complete lack of initial bite. I don't
remember how BMW brakes compare to Audi brakes in terms of initial bite.

I'm starting to think the type of material has less to do with thing like "initial bite", and we need to be looking at friction/torque ratings like gg or hh ect.

    Do they last longer?

I paid $10 for front ORGANIC pads from Napa 15 years ago for the front of a 92 Caprice and got 106,000 miles on them with NO DAMN NOISE. NOW I have a 2004 Dakota with rear disc brakes that squauk whenever I back up with them cooled off. I have been a mechanic on mostly old carbureted cars for 48 years and have never had noisy brakes with organic pads but these lousy ceramic pads are terrible. Dust is less of a problem than noisy brakes sounding like you drive a wreck. Now it looks like the school boys don't even supply organic pads anymore for anything. Stupid!!!

YOU ARE LOUSY. OLD PADS ARE BAD FOR ENVIRONMENT THATS WHY THEY ARE CHANGED. NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE BETTER

Thanks for the info but would rather watch a real live test on the brealing distance more as its a more important factors
