My meat was spoiling, and it never occurred to me that it could've been the fridge until the day it went out completely. Come to find out, the fridge had been going in and out, but we never noticed it.

Have you considered buying meat at like Costco (bulk pricing) and freezing what you don’t use? This has helped my family of three also save money and trips to the grocery store :) at costco they have chicken breast, thighs, drumsticks in portions and the beef that we buy I will cut it and put it in freezer safe bags :) Hope this helps :)
That's what I like about Costco's chicken. It comes in several portioned packs so it's easy to cut and freeze, and it thaws incredibly easy. The lady in this video did say that she lives in a small town in Ohio, so she may not be close to Costco. I am in Indiana, and I can say that we have more Sams Clubs than Costco's here, so she may be in a place where Costco doesn't have a store, but Sam's does

I spend 100-175 on groceries weekly for my husband and I and that's including home stuff. Like bleach, tin foil, soap, wet cat food etc. I plan everything I buy specific to the meals I'm going to make for bl and d and there's no food waste and everything works out well. I shop at Walmart but might consider Aldi soon to make it even cheaper. Saving up for a house RN so that's why we're trying to save as much as possible What I do to try to stay within budget is I make a rough list of items on my notes and then I take those items and plug them in on the Walmart app. Add them all to my cart on there and it calculates the price for me. Works well for me! I also buy in smaller portions I don't get much in bulk so like small mayo etc to keep cost down and I buy as we need. Xo!

If you have hundreds to spend then it makes sense to buy the biggest ones to save the cents each item but when you're penny pinching it doesn't

You're spending well below average, then, so possible you're in a very low cost of living area or excellent at budgeting. Look up USDA food plans - for their low cost plans, they estimate an adult male needs about $70 for food per week, an adult female $60, and a 1 year old child about $35 = $165 per week for a family of 3 on a low cost food plan. That's just for food and not taking into account that their prices are assuming a 4 person family and the purchasing power that comes from bulk buying, so they suggest including a 5% increase into that budget for a family of 3. Keeping in mind she's also including household/personal goods in her budget, she's actually probably still in the relatively low end for spending $200-$250 per week at the grocery store.

They do monthly, bi-monthly or tri-monthly subscriptions and they have everything from pads and pantyliner to cardboard, plastic or no applicator tampons. Also have sexual health and hygiene products.. and it's all made with clean ingredients and organic cotton. ❤ I've been using this brand for about 6 years and you can even pause your subscription during pregnancy 😅 which I was able to do for basically two years straight and then pick up right where I left off. You can also pick the ratio of the different size tampons so if you tend to be heavier longer you can have more supers and less regular ones I thought that was cool cause then you can customize you subscription to fit your cyclic needs! Swear I don't work for them just really love their products. It's a company owner by women for women and their products are made in America. God Bless🇺🇸❤️🙏
Lola actually have had lawsuits of women reporting the tampons leaving pieces inside of them. So I will not be using them again. Viv tampons are also women-founded and owned

We are in Canada, which has significantly higher grocery prices and I spend $200 CDN per week on our family of 6. We eat next to no processed foods. It is not true that fresh foods cost more. Packaged, processed foods are way more expensive. Eat healthier and save money.
That’s true in Canada but not in the United States. It’s actually one of the reasons many families that have to rely on public assistance have weight issues. It’s cheap to buy fresh for 1 or if you have the money (we are a high income family) but if you have to feed 2 or more growing kids, the processed foods will stretch your budget more. It’s sad. Additionally as a Canadian you may not know there are many food deserts here in America where fresh fruits and veggies are impossible to find or price prohibitive.

Up here you will pay 7-10$ for a single head of lettuce (need 2 or 3 for a meal), but Costco sells big tubs of baby spinach for 3 dollars that last all week for our family. So just small changes like that are a huge difference for us. Another thing that has helped a ton, is making the same food as much as possible every day. We do eggs and toast for breakfast, and for dinner we have a meat, potato and veg. It prevents me from having to buy all those little specialty ingredients that are in so many recipes.

So you leave your stuff from the first store in the car while you shop at Sam’s club? If so, your meat is breaking the cold chain with the time it takes to drive to Sam’s, do your shopping, drive home with/without stops, and finally put it in the fridge. Your car’s interior is always going to be hotter than the outside temp when there is zero air circulation. This could be why your meat has been spoiling early.

So you leave your stuff from the first store in the car while you shop at Sam’s club? If so, your meat is breaking the cold chain with the time it takes to drive to Sam’s, do your shopping, drive home with/without stops, and finally put it in the fridge. Your car’s interior is always going to be hotter than the outside temp when there is zero air circulation. This could be why your meat has been spoiling early.
She might have a cooler with ice in her car! That's what I do! 😊
@@savvyshelly3983 I only spent maybe 10 minutes in Sam’s club but that makes sense. But I live 15 minutes roughly from the city so I’d hate to make two trips

@@lillynbelle It’s just an idea, not a criticism, or anything negative. The store could be breaking the chain themselves somewhere, or maybe they’re just not getting meat as fresh as before. Either way, I would hate for you to be spending money on food you can’t even enjoy.
