I want this game but the sound design, driving mechanics and a portion of the mechanical work needs serious overhauls first. I'd be fine with it being an $80 game if they can pull it off well.
It's pretty casual to be honest, but atleast I'm having fun playing it. I would've recommended Wrench since that one is way more advanced in terms of mechanical work, but it doesn't have much content yet.

Dude I agree the mechanical side of the game needs serious overhaul I have this and I was hoping it would allow us to modify the cars properly but no if you get cars that have drum brakes they can’t be changed to disc brake set ups and if it’s a live axle rear end you can’t change it to a irs system which is total bullshit
The things you mentioned can be changed on PC, you can only use what's in the game, but you can change the drum brakes into disc brakes and modify the suspensions, all it takes is 4 clicks inside the Editor (only the Steam version has the editor). Would've been awesome if they integrated the Editor into the game. But yeah, the lack of internal customization and the fact we can't get custom engines or other parts (except body parts) does bother me a bit, I can only hope we'll get those in the next CMS installment.
Depends on the car, this one has some swap options, but if you play on PC (Steam version only) you can use the Editor and put any engine from the game inside any car. And while you can't add turbos to non-turbo engines, there are plenty of turbocharged engines in the game.
Look for cx command, lower is faster, and engineTorqueMod, this one will change the horsepower of the car. Though I don't recommend going overboard because you'll end up with uncontrollable cars.
Listen, he just restored it ok there's gonna be some little hiccups here and there. I actually seen something similar with a restoration in the shop being co worked on by a Journeyman and Apprentice. Fuel gauge and Oil Temp got mixed around somehow. I just figured the two genius found a way to generate fuel while driving.
I dislike how unrealistic the dyno graphs are. The mechanical portion they do a pretty nice job on keeping to realism but you've never seen a dyno graph where HP and TQ didn't crossover at 5252 rpm.
@@damianlindsey6177 then either the dyno wasn't calibrated properly or the engine wasn't revved past 5,252 rpm (common for diesel trucks engines). They have to cross at 5252 because its part of the equation the dyno uses to calculate horsepower. horsepower equals torque multiplied by rpm, divided by 5,252.

are you able to do engine swaps in this game? like if you wanted to put a v10 or even turbo this motor?

Bro I messed with the car editor and my car was always maxing out at around 250mph, any clues about how to change max speed inside the car editor

Good catch, the mod creator probably made the speedometer into a tachometer by mistake, it will probably be fixed in the future.
