not quite, the official release version of re4 remake looks a lot better then the mod. And my original comment wasn't insinuating the remake looked bad, I was just pointing out he was comparing a fan mod to official games.@@obey2538

@@mercenary1106 Before the DLC update, these animations were data mined from the game file and turned into a mod. Now, most of his animations in this video was now official (Off course, the offcial release was more polished that the mod 5 months ago).
The issue with the remakes is, they severely lack weight and intensity. It's a big deal when playing.
I’d say both games did a great job at making the melee attacks characters make feel meaty with weight, but Wesker should be the opposite. I know Chris eats steroids for breakfast and can punch boulders, but Wesker is super human in every aspect (including ego), Wesker’s attacks should send enemies flying, remove limbs with ease, and destroy every single bone and organ in their body. Keep in mind that RE5 shows you multiple times, even when(if) you fail a quicktime event, that Wesker could easily kill you whenever he wants, but doesn’t because his ego is larger than Mt.Everest

Tbh the one in the remake looks lame compared to re5. But i guess thats pretty normal for a remake
@@SupremeVictory420 it looks lame but when you're actually playing him its nuts, especially his mayhem mode where you can teleport up to everyone and instakill them for like 20 seconds. you really feel like wesker
@@thunder2275 the same applies to 4 and 5 lol. And the whole point of wesker is that he is powerful no matter what. He doesn’t need his “mode” to boost his power lol which tbh the mode thing entirely is just silly imo

Thrust punch is Cobra Strike from RE5 and it included in Remake, but with less power.
Hit sound for re5 wesker sounds more satisfying

not sure but console controllers was pressing joysticks maybe is the same.
and change direction basing on Xbox controller (same on PS) is left joystick (or movement one) and A so would be like: Left+A, Right+A or Back+A at same time (you can change direction like 3 times if i'm not wrong and it restart the distance you can dash), and for knee cannon during dash only press attack button

OG RE4 (2004) Wesker is still godlike than these two comparisons, I really miss the days he simply yeets these Ganado fools halfway across the stage or if you’re at the highest vantage point and manage to punch yeet a Ganado they will simply go out of bounds and die with the sheer force of his iconic Thrust Punch/Cobra Strike making you truly feel Wesker’s peak superhuman strength, sadly these two interpretations of him doesn’t really capture the same godlike power he had back in OG RE4
Are you kidding? REmake 4 Wesker in Mercenaries just teleports around and absolutely destroys everything in his wake, and can even parry a chainsaw *with his bare hands*. How is OG RE4 Wesker more godlike than that?
@@GrammerPancreas hmmm you must’ve not get what I’m trying say, sure he teleports and parries in Remake but his melee attacks still lacks the ridiculous Oomphing power that he once had from the original mercenaries where he can simply Yeet-Fly all the enemies including sub-bosses halfway across the stage it really shows the sheer strength of his superhuman powers, i dunno it’s just not right in my eyes seeing enemies don’t fly far anymore like they used to, it kinda undermines Wesker’s power even with the teleportation and such etc. but then again I understand (kinda) maybe because of the limitations (again) or maybe they just wanna balance his gameplay
(this is only my complain and my own opinion so feel free to agree or disagree)

I think my favorite part about playing re4 back in elementary school was somehow finishing the game then playing mercenaries and unlocking wesker, then using that melee… oh my god. At that moment i dropped the controller out of sheer awe. He IS JUST SO COOL IN THE ORIGINAL. He kind of looks thin and lean, paired with the black jacket and those gloves. I hate the vest that he wears in the remake, also he looks kind of old/ worse va.
In RE5, "Lost in Nightmares" Wesker is capable to launch Chris and Jill across large room with Cobra Strike.

But everytime wesker open palms someone,he creates a lil sonic boom,kinda like hw specific aircrafts do whn breakin the sound barrier,its esp noticeable whn u use his mayhem mode,its as if the guy for limited period of time stopped bein a physical being and became more pure energy tht wrecks havoc on everyone,now if thts not "oomph" idk wt is tbh 😅 like when in mayhem mode,i legit feel sorry for the garradors and salvadors
