Just a tip, when you do SIs you want to go up the mesh to start and down to finish (opposite of how the "typical" SI is done) this helps diamond lay correctly

The abrasion of the strings is actually significantly less on the inside because it prevents the knots rotating and rubbing against the plastic. Been using inside patterns for 3 years and have never had my stick or any I strung rip a sidewall

David has great tutorials for this on Smashtimestrings, as far as I’m concerned Lars @sidewalljedi, David @smashtimestrings, and @stringsbyjp are the ones who really pushed this forward

I tried this on one of the beginner heads my university had lying around. Some horrifically wide Nike alpha. Managed to get a channel better than on most of the nice Stringking heads we have. Plays like a charm. Going to do this for all the wide beginner heads we have. TY for the inspiration!!!!!

That's awesome! Some heads definitely create a struggle but make sure to post some pictures somewhere of that pattern as i'm sure people would try it

When making a channel stringing to the inside you can also use a form of SI to lock the mesh down better

It might get more wear from ball rub, but much less from checks. Most string breaks I replace are from hard checks

Would this work for a mid-low pocket in an optic 2.0? Do u think it would be to tight or still be fine and legal?
