Gary oldman is all I would put passed him and thats about as far as ill go. I only say this because Gary Oldman has such a wide characterization range. Christopher Loyd usually just plays differing alternate versions of like the same 3 maybe 4 archetypal characters but Oldman is just absolutely on key with making characters unique and at the same time believable.
@@roninwolf3347 I agree that as a whole, Gary Oldman is a better actor. I believe that the original post was meant to convey how well Lloyd played Jim (and that any other actor couldn't nail the character as well as him.) 😉
Jim Ignatowski for president! When I was a kid, this show came out when I was 3 and it ended when I was 8 or 9. Interesting thing is, my family laughed and I couldn't get it. Now, I am the one laughing and they don't get why I love Reverend Jim.
Everyone was talking about this at work. They said I reminded them of this guy Jim on Taxi. I felt honored. Then he was back the next year and I heard it all over again. I did eventually clean up my act. It only took 19 years to graduate from college as an engineer.
If you're watching The Brady Bunch, you're not going to be watching Taxi. Young kids want to watch the Brady Bunch, not Taxi. There's a place for all these shows. Wings in on in Florida on Spectrum TV.
Woody Harrelson managed quite well with the naive yet strangely aware Indiana Farmboy turned Boston Bartender turned Aspiring Actor "Woody Boyd" on "Cheers."😂😏🎤🏀☘🍺🎭📺B.W.
Just imagine how things would have been if Reverend Jim had been around from the start and they told Andy Kaufman to get lost when he made his demands.
There should have been a show bringing together all the sitcom break-out characters who were only intended for minor roles. Imagine a show with Reverend Jim, The Fonz, Urkel, and Larry, his brother Darryl and his other brother Darryl.
I'll never forget the time Jim tried to comb his hair...he pulled back and the comb got stuck...he just kept pulling followed by that stupid empty look he gets on his face
Loved Taxi. Christopher Lloyd is brilliant
Man this used to be my favorite show! The whole crew was perfect on their own roles. But Jim, Louie and Latka made show!👌😂👍
This is 50 times better than all the new crap on today.
More like 5k
No doubt. I love Seinfeld from the 90s though
You said it

Too right mate!
There's not many people that could outdo Christopher Lloyd's performance

This is the most coherent Jim ever appeared outside of the Flashback episode. 🤣
When he gave the eulogy for the dead horse he was on point.

I came here to say the same thing .
👍
This Is The Most Normal Jim Has EVER Been, Of Course This Is When The Character Was Introduced But Still, And After That He Became Iconic.
Latka and Jim...quite the combo!
Quiet profound. Difficult to see, but easy to feel. Like a heartbeat.👏
Looks at Louie before he asks if anyone "has a drink around here" and DeVito's cracking. Beautiful.
John has a look on his face like "Oh no... this guy is gonna replace me next season!"
john was defnly the weakest link.

He would be better than biden
If I ever get married, I hope the officiating minister is like Reverend Jim.
That or the priest from Princess Bride
You forget how good this show was and how brilliant he was.
Have always loved REV JIM!

In my opinion rev Jim help keep this show onfor a few extra year's
Wish this was on reruns instead of Brady Bunch, Roseanne and other crap!
Shows like this and wings are never on tv anymore

I became a Reverend because of Rev. Jim ........................ Rev. Rex S. Buchanana .....................
He is great producing acting totally underrated I loved him in taxi the back to the future as doc
Very talented actor
CLASSIC Character!
Blessings always 💯🙏❤️🥰👏💕
Season 1: special guest
Season 2: official character
John: Season 1: Official Character
Season 2: Chuck Cunningham'ed!
@@CogensFamilyTV Rip lol
Geez, I wonder how Randall Carver feels these days. Everybody else on the show became a big star.
He got a bad character. Nobody would be good with a ”clueless shy guy” character.

And the rest...was history.
Just imagine how things would have been if Reverend Jim had been around from the start and they told Andy Kaufman to get lost when he made his demands.
RIP Jeff Conaway
He wouldn't be Jim if he didn't screw up doing something.

And when they wanted to go dramatic Barnabas Collins and President Jed Bartlet
"Ernest T. Bass", "Georgette", "Sweet Daddy Williams", "Florence Johnston", "Aunt Esther", Exidor", and "Benson" as well.🤔😂🎤📺B.W.
And the last season introduces Jefferson D'Arcy!
Luv Rev. Jim
I don't know why, but, the first time I saw Rev Jim walking in.....I started laughing.
Because somehow with just his face Christopher Lloyd expresses 100% of the character that would become known as Jim Ignatowski.
I'll never forget the time Jim tried to comb his hair...he pulled back
and the comb got stuck...he just kept pulling followed by that stupid empty look he gets on his face
wait, what episode was that😂😂😂
I didn't know Ladka married someone else besides Simka.
YES ! NOT AN EVIL IMMORAL GENIUS
Awesome speech
.
I think I love his hair in the beginning than the long curly ones tho😂😂
Does anyone here have a drink?
Reveand Jim Inotowski is funny guy 😂

If Trevor Philips wasn't a twisted psycho, Jim is who he'd be... :P

That's me... Is scout staying up there tonight? I promise I'll have a place for him to sleep tomorrow night
TAXI Taxi lovo
Lmao! I thought he was going to.
At the end...I thought i saw vladimir putin in the back...;)
the annoying laugh track when the guy repeatedly goes "HU-AAH!" unbearable.
