Being Unselfishly Honest with self and others. There are sprinkles of good information in this message however, as a 49 yr old divorcee, I was married at 28. By the end of my 30's I was a completely different person. Now at 49, I've changed even more and have different needs/requirements. There was no way in my early 20's I could have chosen the right partner because I had no clue who I was let alone someone else. There are definitely marriages that start young and last but I believe those couples have learned to simply love and let go of alot the things.
When I was in college no guys were talking to me and they weren't thinking about marriage. Since i am in my 30s I have never been married or even came close to meeting someone who wanted to propose to me. It does get discouraging for me when I see God blessing others and not me. I feel like God has forgotten about me. Plus the men that have tried to talk to me they don't have themselves together and they really don't have a relationship with God. And it's so easy to settle for less, but i refuse to settle for less. I was talking to someone for 6 years but he never ask me to marry him. So I decided to leave him a waste of time. This is awesome.
Years ago when I was younger, I would hear people say “ older people get married for companionship “…I am a 63 year old single female who loves, and serves GOD, and now I do understand that statement about older people.
NEEDED THIS! I'm hanging in there I've been celibate since I got baptized! I definitely have messed up in the past (I'm not perfect) but I'm trying to turn things around!!

I've been waiting, in the Church, for decades. I've realized that I can work on my self-awareness during this season--that is what I concentrate on. I appreciate your words of encourage--60, 70, 80, 90 year-olds--do not give up--more than company (fire going on). I'm keeping hope alive!
