The minibuilds are ashame, the Airplane is the best part, but also not worth your amazing Lego Masters Build! The only thing that connects it to Lego Masters is the printed name of the plane :( I understand that you are happy, but that set is super disappointing. And I dont get why there are people hyping this set. Just to please Duckbricks?
I know it wasn’t apart of the challenge but I think they should have recreated their red pocket book instead. Seems odd to have to make yourselves massively scale down a build to then sell to fans of the show.

I think they did the best they could with the source material. TBH, they prolly shouldn't have won, but for marketing purposes, I think they pushed them through. No offense to DuckBricks, I like the guy, but it simply wasn't the best build of the show.

"Here's some plates that roughly look like a map of the earth, and a $10 creator 3in1 esc plane build, and charge $150 for it". I could see so many things they could've done, mainly just having a microfig scale plane build that has compartments that open to reveal micro scale builds or something like the Super Mario question mark block. That would've been quite in line with the source material too.
Gonna be honest I really don't like the set. Happy for you that y'all got a build of your own though that's really cool. Think the set should definitely have been a big plane with the travel pictures placeable.

The original build has a plane, a worldmap on the wing and a concept of travel where several destinations are depicted as scenes. So its just lazy to say nothing to do with the original build.
Wow this is an extremely overpiced and a somewhat disappointing set :I I know I know it's a build together set but even than, it's a 150 bucks *flat earth* (the globe was cooler) which looks eh on display, and has an awful PPP... I'm extremely happy for you, but I don't think this is a good set even for the target it's going for
When I saw the winning build on Lego masters my first thought was how on earth are they going to make a viable Lego set out of that that anyone is going to buy so I'm not surprised they completely deviated from the original idea but I am surprised that they've done that and still come up with a set that leaves me scratching my head as to who is going to buy it. But maybe I'll be proven wrong 🤷♀️

Like your channel and your knowledge about Lego, but this set kind meh, but again congratulations for the set. Just wish the finale each contestants make super details and eye appealing set rather than chasing who can make the biggest.

Great accomplishment, however the LEGO team could have and SHOULD have done a much better job with your amazing finale build. This set will sadly sit on shelves and will go by the way of the LARGE HULKBUSTER and BLACK PANTHER BUST.... SALE SALE SALE sooner than later :(

Honestly it’s nice and I’m so glad Chris got his set made , I know the set won’t be anything close to the Lego masters build but some of the pre production shots seemed nicer . Very cool !
I'll leave my opinion on the set aside.... but there is no reason for a lego set to have 5 separators. the chances that more than one person would need a separator at the same time while building this set is very low not to mention every set comes with one and chances are most lego families would already have others.
I love it & will probably buy it. The only thing I cannot get over is the set price of $150. I would have thought it should go for around $99. Tops! Seriously!
This is really nicely edited, especially the begining, featuring clips as you do the intro! The big question is will I buy the set. It would be super cool to have your lego master set in my colection, but its a shame that it isn't more similar to the original design

Don’t get me wrong this is a really cool honor, but… it really doesn’t feel like they even cared about trying to recreate your build, they just saw the plane the word travel and came up with their own idea for the set. It feels almost disrespectful. With the same amount of pieces they could have designed a large plane that opens up with tiny vignettes inside, or put the picture holders inside the plane so you could still add your own pictures. But what they came up with is basically nothing like your design at all. The only similarity is the plane, and that’s not much of a similarity, there are hundreds of Lego sets with planes in them. Also including 5 brick separators is really dumb. You could just share 1 and not use 5 at the same time. How likely is it that 5 people will all make mistakes at the same time and need to remove pieces in unison? Anyone who collects Lego already has tons of brick separators that they have no use for, so giving 5 more in one set is just stupid.
And they couldn’t be bothered to even make or print the wings in blue like the original. This is just a generic plane with some printing, otherwise unidentifiable as the original plane.
Yeah they'd have been much better off just making a decent city style plane out of it with Chris and Robert minifigs - maybe getting on the plane with the Lego masters trophy. That would have been very cool and also something you could actually make use of.

I'm so glad you're happy with this. You guys did a great job in making your giant build that was so special to you and Robert. To me, this is a very poor interpretation if your model. This assumes that someone travels all over the world enough to make use of the world map. I've been overseas once and I doubt I'll afford it again. If this was closer to your build with a plane where I could make a little London scene on the back I'd be happy to get it. As it is, this would only have 1 tile outside the US and a few scattered within.
I feel like I'm the only person that likes this set. It's _inspired_ from the original, like it _says,_ and I think is really is the best way to funnel that inspiration honestly. I wouldn't see myself buying the original plane scaled down at all. It only really works at that scale honestly, it would be exponentially more boring at a smaller one. Admittedly the map is quite small and hanging it on the wall is odd and not a feature I would have shown (especially because we've had a bigger wall map that also had pins, even if I personally don't like the colors of that set or the pins either). The pictures above the map also only really work when it's laying down, with the size making sense in that case because you would need the space to put it flat. Also the picture frames aren't exactly the best and I much would have preferred if you could somehow show more pictures and where the pictures were taken on the map. But I don't think that's that big of a deal, putting them on the same line of latitude is most likely good enough and having to choose a small amount of pictures isn't necessarily the worst. I honestly do think it's a pretty fun display set for family (or friends I suppose) travel and the whole idea of a set you (most likely AFOLs) build with most likely your kids (or at least people you live and travel with) is pretty fun. I've also seen a lot of people complaining about the message board when that's something I personally know some people like the look and concept of (mostly families and mostly moms for some reason). These sets just aren't _for_ you, you're simply not the target audience for them (you = people complaining that they don't want to buy them [that either probably don't have kids or don't travel with their kids anyway, or at least don't have people they live and travel with]) and I think that's fine, not every lego set has to be for you and like I said, this set is _inspired_ by his build, not scaled down but _inspired,_ and I think it's a pretty fine execution of a pretty good concept based of that inspiration.

I mean to be honest what did we expect. They told both teams the winner would have it become a set and both teams made kinda crazy builds that would never be good sets. Neither team took the mindset of a winner set just winner so this is what we get. A map with a plane u can move around….i am a huge fan of yours but to be honest this set is ok.
im not really a fan of lego sets that have you simply putting pieces on a flat plate rather than actually build something. just kinda feels less satisfying to complete

I've already seen this set at Brickset earlier today and that style of box you have there is only available in the US, every where else has no reference to lego masters as you pointed out. PS avoid reading the comments section at Brickset!!
Why avoid reading the comments? The set is not his work (a.k.a. fault), it's LEGO designers' product and I would love it if they could read the feedback.
