40034 and 25123 on the Bangor 7/4/83

- 40034 on the 15.45 Manchester-Bangor on the 7th July 1983. She was failed at Chester by the driver and 25 123 replaced her for the rest of the journey. 25 123 was withdrawn a month later.
These old video's are unique little snipets of life in the 80's. Better than watching old top of the pops stuff!

Yep, he left a legacy that I really don’t think he appreciated how grateful people were for it.
One of my favourite railway videos of all time! They don't make 'em like that anymore and it does have a good ending.
What can you say, a whistling monster replaced by that raspy sulzer type 2.....people go on about Class 68s nowadays. They really don't now that they were born.
