I lived in the Area for over a year on Hail Swamp road about 5 minutes from the beach. I had to move back to my home town due to some family issues but I'm hoping with in the next 10 years to make my return.
This is my favorite place on earth. Been going here Every year for 22 years now

Family of 4 ( 8 & 10 yr old boys, husband, wife), would you go to Ocean Isle or Oak Island? We’ve visited Myrtle Beach years ago but too much going on for our liking. Thanks
I’ve never really stayed at Oak Island but have spent a ton of time at OIB. While it’s increased in popularity a to. and the cost of renting has gone up, it’s still an amazing place to visit. It’s close enough to Myrtle too if you’re interested in still going there for dinner or something.
