I watched this show religiously when I was 10-14ish in Australia. Haven't seen in til I looked it up now. And it is as cheesy and hilarious but brilliant as I remember it. Bless Reg and Ton's
Yes, but what about the victims, unfortunately they are the ones who really suffer. Stuff the criminals.......make prison harder and a real deterrent. Prisoners couldn't learn other criminal skills if they are locked up for 23 hrs a day can they and fed terrible food?
@@mraccyd Harder prisons are not a deterrent. Longer time in prison results in prisoners learning anti-social behaviours and being unable to do anything else except be a career criminal in many cases. The US prison system has some of the longest sentences and harshest prison cultures, but the recidivism rate is 76.6% re-arrested within 5 years. Meanwhile Norway has much shorter sentences and more humane prisons that focus on rehabilitation, and the recidivism rate is only 20% within 5 years. Down from 70% in the 1990s when they used a punitive system like the US. Harder prisons do not work to deter crime and actually increase the chance that prisoners will commit more crimes after being released.
New Scotland Yard played an almost useless part in the chase, C.A.D. were too slow to realise a scanner was being used, and Conway was surplus to requirements, as Brownlow had Marion as his secretary.
not really the jaguar was probably over 10 years old usually bought for a grand or cheaper from a salvage yard and the minor crashes were done with cars bought on the cheap
Why would they call MP to just take over Pursuit callouts and pursuit command wouldn't they have a local dispatcher that is more available and would know the city maps better?
So they're calling Scotland Yard because they want Indian Nine-Nine or they want a special response / pursuit unit? They're probably going to want rpu because they're specifically trained in vehicle Pursuit but I would be spraying house on Hill has no RPU officers.
@@mrbigstuff1966 the damage differing between shots might suggest also some scenes were filmed then swapped. Still a very entertaining chase all the same.
I chat to Graham (Tony Stamp) on FB. He said this was his favourite episode as he got to do all the driving
One of the most realistic car chases I’ve seen. Excellent work for 1994
Searched for ford Sierra police chase and got one of my old time episodes of The Bill ..Brilliant !

This was the best chase the bill done. Classic Tony and Reg. they were class
woollett182 agreed
Thank you
Been looking for this episode for years thanks for uploading
6:48 - ''Through a tunnel on Arsehole Street". Amazing.
You probably heard wrong
Another fantastic classic episode of The Bill
This is the best cop show ever. All actors they are plays very good and also realistic car chases.
This episode is one of the week only episodes of series 10 I’ve seen on UA-cam with actual audio and video quality
That epic car chase just about makes up for Mrs Orme's dreadful acting.
the yellow golf was in 2 rta's. once with a talbot horizon, then it was parked with no damage
Same reg no...bit of a blooper
I just love the way Reg runs
One of the greatest car chases I’ve ever seen on The Bill.
That old Jaguar was ragged to kingdom come
I love how the car doors shut before it even comes to a stop
17:42 "He knows how to drive". Even Stan Butler never did that much damage. Tony Stamp, on the other hand, brilliant driver.
Besides the car chase, this series almost has a message, how criminal sentencing especially for long years can affect the arrested person's family.

2.28 Kathy looks at George as if she knew he had something to say. Like, hurry up George your line is coming up, lol.
I was in this episode in the park by millwall football ground. It was filmed on a Sunday and they were great
At 23:35 Rob sounded like abe from abes odyssey when he dies 😂
At least the kid won't be following in his dad's footsteps.
23:48 Even though it maybe extras doing them I use to fantisise Tony Stamp doing the male copper's feet during The Bill's end credits.
classic episode
Bloody hell that was some really good action.
How Rob screamed was funny

Thanks for the upload. This is how I drive in GTA
Brilliant thanks for sharing
I am glad that most of the episode was made of the car chase
23:12 “I don’t think that’s a very good idea, do you?”
Expensive episode xxxxxxx
Bet this episode was expensive to make!
not really the jaguar was probably over 10 years old usually bought for a grand or cheaper from a salvage yard and the minor crashes were done with cars bought on the cheap
XJ6's were notorious for precipitous depreciation - an 80s XJ6 would be worth only a few hundred in '94.
@@danielanderson5227 they used several jaguars
My favourite Area Car the beautiful powerful Ford Sierra Cosworth
It's an XR4x4 from 1993
Sgt Steele was dish back in the day
The chase starts at 6:00
The getaway car is mostly the Jaaag
Very exciting !! Super
This was fun until the crappy sound effects kicked in.
Best part was the car chase!!!!!
Mark Lynn THE WHOLE EPISODE WAS ABOUT A CAR CHASE!!!
Florjan Brudar Fair enough that's great 🏎️💨
Why would they call MP to just take over Pursuit callouts and pursuit command wouldn't they have a local dispatcher that is more available and would know the city maps better?
this would have been deep in the us and the story would have continued into the next episode unlike the bill

Was this filmed around the Isle of Dogs?
Thanks Stephen :-)
And I spy St Leonard's in Bethnal!
@@mrbigstuff1966 parts of londons burning early eps were filmed nearby

Is that actor Frank Harper playing one of the cops?
No, it's Cuthbert Wintingdon-Smythe
where is the next episode
In the crash with the yellow golf, what kind of car is the red car? Is it another golf?
It's a Talbot Horizon
Good old flat footed Reg.
did they use one jag for the whole chase?
poor jags

have you got the next episode after this one?
Wait so does the kid actually die when he falls off the roof?
Naaa, not when he fell...only when he hit the ground.
I hate when the officers arrested the kid
Driving down the uk streets breaking every car door I see wait my friends bailed out I'm doing this by myself
How long was this police chase on for goodness sake?
I could the reg Number but I paused the screen LOL
Anyone else cry when the Jag hit the Volvo 480?
No really, the Volvo 480 was a heap of junk...not Volvo's finest hour
Thin blue line coppers ere'
Nee-naw-nee-naw-nee-naw
That's da sound of da police
Quite the ending . Ending an episode on the presumed death of a kid
Tom Williams Productions dont think there is any presumably about it.
Andrew Chilton i meant for example noone checked for a pulse and said "Nah he's dead" or something similar
@Mark Lynn noone checked for a pulse i know its like 1 in a million he survives but its possible
How is this s10 wen one that came out in the early 2000s was s1
