    I just bought the Trimmer with carbon Fiber shaft. Very happy I was literally trimming in 6minutes after opening the box. Love it

    I bought the Ego 2 stage 24" snow blower with 2 X 7.5ah batteries. After 7 snow storms in Maine, I'm loving it. I have a 250' gravel driveway on a hill with parking at the top for 3 or 4 cars. I cleared 8" of powder on one charge. 15" of heavy, wet took 3 charges. 90 minutes to charge. It seems to be well designed, sturdy, quiet, and very easy to use. I'd buy it again.

      That's good to know, I've seen it used here too and always wondered if it was any good.

    If you are cutting brush or small trees, in a densely wooded area, that light will be handy.

    I think the Lights are for Hurricane Season, there is Times you have to Cut up Limbs to get out of your driveway, or down the Road... That's my guess, being from Florida 😉👍

      Ok, well that makes perfect sense then. Having to whip this baby out under less than ideal cercunstanses a light would be handy. Thank you for the insight.

      @@veggitarianredneck I just remember my Husband cutting limbs at night after a Hurricane, but I was holding a Flashlight for him, the Electric Trucks couldn't get to the Lines for all the Trees down and my Dad was on Oxygen, so my Husband wanted to clear the path asap... but its probably the same for the Midwest and Tornadoes...
      I love the EGO line, After my Husband passed from Cancer, I had to take over the Yard Work, and We have a Little over an Acre, and live in Florida where it grows like a Jungle Year Around, Working with watery Gas, Draining lines, and the Corroded Carburetors and the Worst pull Starting the equipment 🥴 I bought my First 56V EGO and now I have most of the EGO line, except for the Snow Blower 🤣😂

    I clearned a 1/4 acre of 4 ft tall weeds and mixed bush using an EGO hedge trimmer and the that same weed trimmer... I went through half a spool of string... Had one battery on the speed charger while the other was in the tool. No downtime. At the end I used the 650cfm EGO blower to blow it to the side. When the things got ubsurd, I had to switch to a rake and pitchfork. Impressive tools and with 2 x 5ah batteries plus the speed charger, you can go nonstop...

    I always prefer reviews from real users like you because I know it’s genuine. Not people who review tools just for reviews sake. Have you had issues with oil leaking from the saw? Seems to be a very common complaint in reviews, comments. I’m asking because I want to buy one but that is one main issue that I’m worried about.

    • @veggitarianredneck
      @veggitarianredneck  2 роки тому +2

      Yes the oil definitely leaks out. Something I wasn't privy to at the time of the review.

    I have had the trimmer and 650cfm leaf blower for 2 years now. No complaints. I've never been able to run the battery down on the weed trimmer. I wear out before it does.
    I just ordered the 18" chain saw yesterday. I'm in MT also.👍

    I’ve got the Ryobi 40v brushless weed eater, the new quite blower, 21” mower, and cultivator. I absolutely love them. The cultivator is what surprised me the most. I ran that thing nearly all day tearing up my backyard to fix it and lay down new grass and after a good 5 hours of running the cultivator on the small 2 amp hour pack, I still had battery left to spare. Now I’m sure that’s mainly due to the fact that the power head is spinning quickly and the cultivator has a hell of a gear reduction drive on it but still I was impressed. The blower seems to tear through batteries the fastest. When used constantly on turbo, a 5 amp hour pack might get you twenty minutes or so. The cheapest way to get a new 40v Ryobi battery is to buy a new tool on sale. If you catch a sale right you can basically buy a kit that consists of a battery, charger, and tool for the same price as a bare battery. It’s like buying a battery and getting the tool for free. Project farm did a couple reviews of cordless chain saws and if I remember correctly he said some of the same things about the Ego saw that you did but overall he liked it to.

    • @veggitarianredneck
      @veggitarianredneck  4 роки тому +1

      I looked carefully at the Ryobi as I am a big fan of them, but ultimately decided on EGO. Thanks for watching.

    Can say from experience that this chainsaw works great for grizzly bear defence. You don't even need to cut a branch off in the dark and swing at the bear with a it. You just use the chain saw.

      Never tried it, prolly cuz I never cut wood at 25 below lol. But I do suspect that even 10 30 would turn into syrup. In your situation I would say use the very thin stuff. I know that the very thin oils is the only way I can use my pull starter in the winter months.

      Just for giggles try both oils and see which one heats up the bar more. And yes intuitively you would think that "bar oil" would be the better choice.

    Just bought the same saw kit with the 5.0 Ah battery, and from the little bit of work I’ve done with it so far I really like it.
    I used to run a Husqvarna petrol saw years ago all the time…no longer run a wood fire, so no real need for me to do that anymore, but for storm clean-up work it’s terrific!
    glad you like the trimmer too, as I have my eye on that too. 🙂
