      That is what I was thinking lol. There will be a video on the damage!
      The instructor asked if he could, and I had no problem throwing him the keys. Tbh, it was a mistake that anyone could have made. I'm really glad he is willing to make it right.

    Judging when to brake for turn 1 at Grattan can be brutal, I went off into the gravel there during my first motorcycle track day 😂

      @M-t3ch  3 місяці тому

      Haha, that's brutal. Turn 1 can be tricky if you are over or underconfident.

      Ayyyy, awesome! It's a really cool concept that makes sense in application.

    Dude that sucks the instructor wrecked your car. I hope you can get the damage fixed easily, him driving at 10 and 2 was stressing me out before it happened. It sounds great revving out though 😍

      Haha, she does sound good! The Dinan intake really sings when the car is opened up.
      We are going to delve into the damage here soon. Mistakes happen, most importantly we were safe and the car is mostly ok.

      The 10 and 2 position is something you want to have you hands on as it allows for better push/pull on the steering wheel, but not grip hard as the instructor was. It's meant to be a position where it doesn't allow you to overwork the wheel as opposed to 9 3.

    • @M-t3ch
      @M-t3ch  3 місяці тому

      @@AndiS21-u6r Can you explain what you mean by overworking the wheel?

    • @AndiS21-u6r
      @AndiS21-u6r 3 місяці тому

      Sure, the 10-2 position will limit your turning the wheel left/right, say for a maximum of 30-50°. Where as a 9-3 can allow you to to go way beyond that, even up to 180° either side. Going fast on a track means being smooth and helping turn the car more by weight transfer and less by the steering inputs. More steering input will usually yield more under/over steer depending on the car and will also allow for greater weight transfer which when learning to go faster isn't usually done right and leads to having to correct again by steering. It's a method for someone that is patient and not trying to cut corners. It's usually taught in (go) karting to use weight transfer (slip angle) to to faster and keep the kart within the limits of a desired slip angle that yields highest overall cornering speed.

    Subscribed! What suspension are you running?

    • @M-t3ch
      @M-t3ch  3 місяці тому

      Happy to hear it!
      Suspension is pretty modified. Koni yellow shocks, H&R sport springs, Ground Control camber plates, Turner camber arms, AKG 75D diff and subframe bushings, AKG 95A Fcabs and Rtabs. Then alignment is -2.5 front camber, -2 rear, and half the factory toe in.

    What to fix the p1519 code

      Worst case, a cam sensor. Although I am thinking I got a bad Vanos solenoid. We are going to delve into it in the next video!
