But it postponed each and every time.
I think this time also (union budget 2024) postponed.
I have a doubt. Let's say I am planning to invest 50L in 5 years and I have invested 4L so far. Now, when it comes to portfolio construction, should I decide the min and max % for stocks based on my final target of 50L or the current investment of 4L ? You might say it should be based on my current investment. But why shouldn't I invest 1L (25% of my current portfolio) in HDFC Bank as it is decently valued now and I might not get this value in 5 years ?
It must be on the target corpus you wanting to build your portfolio for. Because buying opportunities for various stocks may not be there always, so you build your positions based on your target portfolio, on the stocks when it's valuation is favourable to you. There's no point building a ₹20k position when the stock is undervalued when you want to build a ₹50L portfolio.
