People seriously need to realize that MIOBI is a TV show. It's not the Olympics. While the gymnastics aren't exactly what are found during the Olympics, they're pretty darn good considering the athletes are former olympians and college gymnasts. They only do 2 tumbling passes in order to keep the interest of the viewers. If you want an exact floor routine, watch a real gymnastics competition. However, the tricks that are done on the show are elite tricks with a high DOD for the most part.
this is amazing...it shows how someone could battle an eating disorder and show the world they can come back better than they were...when people say there's no lyrics to gymnastics floor routines their not lying but the song has a meaning to go with it...

This show actually made me want to watch the gymnastic part of the olympics. I think the writers, actors, actresses and the stunt people did a good job of portraying the world of gymnastics.

exactly. the most unrealistic things happen in every show, like people breaking into houses just like that, or people who fall from heights but don't have a scratch. IT'S A SHOW. Making a show about gymnastics with 100% correction would probably suck, imo.

For those of you who are offended by those opinions (because you think Kaylie is the best gymnast EVER) maybe you should take your own advice and "shut up and enjoy the show" and STOP reading the comments section on youtube. Because whenever you participate in a public forum it is inevitable the you will come across opinions you don't agree with. And clearly many of you are not mature enough to deal with differences of opinion. Especially when your response is something like, "Just shut up."
I like the idea of a TV show that's about gymnast's lives :) And anybody can see this routine wouldn't even qualify her for a WorldChampionships ATENDANCE in the first place,but since it's a TV show,it's okay. I just think it's a shame the creators think they have to use spotlight, music with lyrics and a dance no real gymnast would use, to create suspense & make it thrilling. A real WorldChampionships is uber exciting without all the glitter,glamour & lightning effects they present here.

It is funny and ironic that in this show they beat Russia and China for the gold with Kaylie's floor routine at Worlds and in real life the US National Team beat Russia and China with a floor routine at Worlds also!!!! LOL

Okay... I know there is no lyrics in gymnastics... I also know the people doing the tricks are stunt doubles... So besides the fact that there are things in this show that are not realistic, it was still a good floor routine to this song. Even though you couldn't show it(: this show told girls that gymnastics is determination and discipline but it's also fun and enjoyable... It pushed me to be a gymnast and even google it! There are a LOT of girls that started gymnastics because of this show!

It's just that their gymnastics performances and events are soooo unrealistic that I can't ignore it, although I know it's just for TV xP But I disagree that there has to be music with lyrics and lightning effects to make something intersting to watch. Many real life sports don't have these effects and are still immensly exciting ;)

Yes you do. You either have to be 16 or turning 16 that same year to be able to compete at a senior level and therefore qualify for worlds or the olympics.
they have to use spotlights so that it can be clearly seen on camera, and for the music i just think its to keep the audience interested cause trust me it boring to watch something on tv without music and lighting effects. and i know that real life is more fun cause i watched this volleyball movie, all you ve got and all i kept saying was thats not vv or tht dsnt happen in a vb game. i guess its just hard to seperate yourself from reality if you have first hand experience of whatever you watch
Kaylie (Josie Loren) does some of the moves - she does all the dancing but she can't do the elite tumbles because she'd be a proffesinal gymnast if she did - but she does alot....
I love how when I watched this video before the Olympics, there were no comments about how realistic or unrealistic this is, but now everyones watched the Olympics they all assume they are excepts and can judge a TV SHOW.
First of all: If she was a REAL gymnast, her floor routine wouldn't have words. . .
