  • Starting off slow and easy with Whirligig quilting design, primarily because of its small size. We are quilting on a vintage tablecloth and learning the easiest way to load a digital whole cloth design, as well as split, and combine designs.

Gahhhh I love this!! The white on top is perfect in order to keep the spirit of its vintage quality & the green on back is wonderful! Thank you so much for the time you spent on this for us, & thank you for being brave enough to do your first one on video. It’s a good quality to share with those of us who don’t have more than a year of experience on a long arm 😊.

This was massively helpful, I just don’t have the stick to it to invest in a long arm😁 yet you gave me loads of info on my whole cloth planning for my domestic machine. Thank you!

I love quilting table linens. I've practiced enough that I'm ready to quilt a table cloth that belonged to my mother.

Turned out beautiful! And yes, love the green thread on the back. Really shows up the quilting design.

Your whole cloth vintage tablecloth quilt turned out beautiful! Always love feathers design and the white thread was perfect.

Loved this video. I have been exploring whole cloth quilts lately. I think I’m ready to start one. I never though of doing it on a vintage tablecloth. Great idea I’m looking forward to learning more with you.

For us, it was a great way to incorporate another kind of textile, saves the time to make a top, and it is a up-cycling instead of wasting...We have a pretty big stack for future videos also.

Great topic! Thanks for explaining the 3 types of wholecloth quilting! Is wholecloth the term for 'not pieced'? Good lesson on downloading and renaming files.

Yes, basically, a whole cloth quilt was not pieced, but rather just a large whole piece of fabric. But, in a way, many people also think of it as a Medallion type quilting design, rather than just edge to edge design.
