This is a capture of a new standalone release of Alpha Moon's soundtrack as a "jukebox" that can played directly in Halo! Check out the MUSIC PLAYER, a special map for those who enjoyed the main menu vibes back in the day! steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3374408579
You killed it with the soundtrack, man. Seriously. My heart hurts listening to this stuff. It feels like music ripped out of time. Like nostalgia for something I never heard before. I seriously, seriously hope Halo Studios has you tapped for the next project. If they dont, im gonna be pushing for it from the community level
Well done. You did the impossible. You have some how captured that Marty magic but also kept it fresh and exciting. We the people of the internet approve of what you have done.
Halo Studios needs to hire this person. This is so reminiscent to Marty's stuff, but has it's own unique flare. Amazing fit for Halo, amazing talent, 10/10.
This is fucking supreme. This captures the vibe of the original trilogy PERFECTLY. I’m absolutely floored! If Halo Studios has any foresight they’ll have hired you already. Absolutely incredible I hope Marty hears this
God, the use of so many familiar sweeps and little stock bits from CE/2 is great, the High Charity ambient beeps, rumbly synthy sound from the CE main menu, its so great! You have an immaculate grasp on the subtleties and texture of the quieter classic Halo tracks while still bringing a fresh energy.
I played Alpha Moon for the first time at 480p, with some reshade effects to mimic a CRT TV, and it took me right back to playing Halo 2 for the first time in '06. As usual, I love your work. Great work by the team all round.
It was incredible to experience “new old new” Halo, my friend! Thanks for being part of it! And I extend that to all those great cats I got to know on the team.
Bravo. You've singlehandedly managed to keep the art style of Marty better than the last three composition teams 343i has put forth combined wilst making sure it's all original. Bravo.
fitting in with marty's masterpieces is a tremendously tall order and while you got for a far less bombastic approach, i really do like what youve been doing. You've nailed the vibe of authenticity
Really impressive work. You’ve definitely captured a very specific feeling from those early Halo soundtracks. Would love to see more if there’s any more of these projects.
Thank you for listening! If you're eager for more, have a look as well for Decamillennium, which was the music I wrote for the last bigger level I worked on, Crash Site, as well as BEYOND, which was the menu music suite for CE+ neoteaika.com/decamillennium
It’s clear that you understand what made the original halo soundtracks special, you absolutely nailed it! These tracks fit really nicely with the identity of the music from halo 1 and 2. Im an absolutely huge fan of the halo games and especially the original music. Each of the games had a unique style with what instruments were most common and the types of synths used and everything, I’m guessing you either used a lot of similar ones that were used on the original games or just found really close imitations. Either way it sounds great, it makes me really happy that other people go past the “wow the halo soundtrack is so good” and can actually figure out why and replicate it. I really like that these pieces sound like they could have been written by the original composers, but you have added a lot of your own personality and new sounds into it as well. I wish the composers in halo infinite had done the same thing of being respectful and pulling a lot from the source, while adding your own twist. A lot of the music from that game (in my opinion) feels like they would just put in a random melody from a past halo just to say “look do you remember this one?” Not to say the soundtrack was all bad but specifically the tracks where it would almost naggingly reference older themes and melodies from the original trilogy. Anyways it makes me incredibly happy to hear new music being produced in the style I grew up with and honesty thought would never return. I’m an Xbox player and I really hope one day I can experience this mission with your music. (And now that I look, all of your other music that you’ve written for halo mods lol this is the first one I’ve seen)
Just played Alpha Moon. It's probably my favorite arbiter/dervish mission now. There was a guitar bit when driving the wraith, and noticed that music isn't here. Is there another source where I can find it?
Yeah, that track was a sort of Unyielding type thing! (my favourite track next to the sacred icon suite) I had technical issues finishing the album so it took a bit longer to finish production (I also handled scripting and other elements of AM, and had other things in addition to just the music, so couldn't focus purely on music production, either) Because it's sort of a "cover" more than an original track, I decided to hold it to go out with an "official" version of the music I did for @thevengefulvadam 's H2 Uncut - high charity hog run, an arrangement of the Halo theme, so those two will appear together in the future as another release, rerecorded from the ground up. Good spotting! Cheers for listening. - Neo
I'm actually totally unfamiliar to that but I have heard good things! I'll be sure to give it a look and listen tomorrow when I get up. Thank you for listening!
Spotify are anti-artist, and I will not be releasing any of my future music on that platform, but I appreciate the sentiment! I may release this next year on other platforms, though.
I wonder if Alpha Moon was inspired by Apocalypse Now or Heart of Darkness, the level's theming is pretty similar to AN's: Special Operations mission to assassinate an officer who defected in an inhospitable environment populated by enemies who know the land far better, the antagonist having his own legion of guerrillas that are fiercely loyal to him, etc
Did you also do the music for the Halo 3 E3 Demo? I listened to a Digsite podcast and I think maybe they were talking about your music, being it's so accurate and masterful.
True Halo music! It's copyright free for our Halo videos? :) PS: i'm one of the biggest french Halo fan since H2, i'm working on a Halo 5 machinima called Halo : operation basis, that takes place on Basis on the crash site on Alpha Halo shards, and it's lore friendly, it's awesome to see this new Halo 2 level come to life! I've already made two episodes and i would be honnored if i can use somme of this awesome music in it ❤ Of course you wil be in the credits if it's ok 😊
Hey there! You are more than welcome to use the music. If you want it in high quality, along with additional bonus tracks, you can buy it from music.neoteaika.com to support my work in making more. Cheers!
What is the song when you fight the wraiths on the second floor in a giant circle arena before the titlecard "Beyond Thunderdome" ? I hoped it was in here, but it isnt
I decided to hold that one back because I'll be rerecording it along with the music I did last year for @TheVengefulVadam 's Halo 2 Uncut for a future release (all very guitar heavy). Cheers!

Looks like we got a Marty O' Donnel successor here.
WHAT?! I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS MADE BY MARTIN?!?!?
Very cool. Has the awe of original halo but also a slight eerie alien feel.
Alpha moon was great too.

This could fit right in Halo 2. Very good job on this

Fuck not, they shall slay creativity of this awesome man and just force him do shit he and every halo fan never ever wanted.
Halo is dead, 343 killed it

I was NOT ready for 'Sunset For Closure', this whole soundtrack had me wide-eyed but that song had me straight up in love.

This music was so good, I simply assumed it was unreleased work from the original composers that didn't make it to release. Great work!
You could convince me this came straight from Halo 2. You have done what 343 never could
Facts 🗿

Love the “remnant” section. Sounds soooooo Halo.

You genuinely GET Halo's music, man. You're the music man. Man, this is Halo music.
I hear that good halo nostalgia.
Percussion is phenomenal. Mirage and the overlapping drum tempos sounds so cool.
Thank you!

I actually thought Sunset for Closure was an unused track when I first heard it, it fits the Halo 2 vibe perfectly. You're doing great work!
majestic. right outta halo 2

Good job, man:). Sounds like original Halo with Marty`s vibe but saves "your" feel of music.
Great work! Sunset for closure is a masterpiece!!
An extended version would be awesome 🙏
Bro… this… hits my soul. It’s beautiful and so much like Marty! Nice work
Yes! Thank you for your dedication to composing these awesome tracks!
Really evokes the best of Halo's eeriness and majesty. Tremendously apt soundscape!
Instantly subscribed. Alpha Moon is so good, and your soundtrack makes it feel complete. Amazing work!!
Unbelievably great job, honestly hard to comprehend how you nailed it so well. Hope to hear more soon!
great job neo :) absolutely amazing
Absolutely perfect, captures everything about Marty’s sound choice. Amazing job!

@@NeoTeAikait wouldn’t be a true Halo 2 production without some crunch and cut content lol
Truly brilliant work. You've cooked for every release
Amazing bro
Glimmer:🤯 sunset for close: why am I not subscribed?!?!
Thanks for posting this! Was waiting to be able to save this to a halo music playlist! Seriously, thank you for all of your hard work and effort.
absolutely phenomenal ;)
Very faithful to Halo 2's soundtrack. Excellent work, bravo
Gentlemen, radio for VTOL, heavy lift gear. This one's coming home.
Very AAA. very nice
Amazing job!
Real art
The first song sounds like it comes straight from Team Faulcouner DBZ/Namek Saga.
Like im about to unleash the spirit bomb
I'm actually totally unfamiliar to that but I have heard good things! I'll be sure to give it a look and listen tomorrow when I get up.

Have you ever put a brick in a bin ?
It'd be beautiful if you uploaded these to Spotify. I would immediately throw these in my playlist.
