Been using Canvas for over two years. Incredibly helpful and worth the money. Scan to Design looks amazing. Wish it wasn’t limited to iPad. Would love to scan with my phone like normal and export to desktop. The iPad has no place in my workflow and I know I’m not alone.
Im gonna chime in and agree that sketchup is the perfect way to win clients. i have used it like this a few times now and it convinces them. seeing is believing. excellent product.. dear Sketchup.. pls gimme a discount
at 2:15 the ceiling looked much higher than it was when she was about to scan the room at 0:35. or it's just my 3d senses getting old😁🤦♂ Nice video by the way, I wish the actors were from SketchUp team👍
I spotted that too, however I can safely assume that they removed the existing plaster ceiling to obtain a greater ceiling height. All these are just for illustration purposes obviously and I’m looking forward to other UA-camrs to do more real-world ipad + sketch up integration capabilities.
Since it is kinda 'renovation' project, other than modify the wall for wider space, so there is a possibility to adjust ceiling too for better climbing experience. The video still make sense.
@@ahmad-murery Yeah, I like that too, It is a good to practice. Even i can model fast with my own method, but I still wanted to try scan to design. I have an ipad pro but the problem is... I'm lazy... lol

Ipad has lidar. Samsung had it previously but didn't find the use case I suppose.
@@imjanng I’m aware of iPad Pro having LiDAR. I use my iPhone Pro to scan. I meant I don’t have a need for using SketchUp on iPad.
@@RaydonConcepts somehow my eyes missed part of the paragraph!! Did not see the phone part. Totally get you now.

How accurate are the models generated? Can it be used for 2d documents for example? Thanks
How to register in SketchL via iPad Pro؟؟
can I use my ipad to create the 3d image of a room
and then import that to the app on my pc
and then do my work on my work station
Is this feature free? Seriously considering buying an ipad just for this feature alone now.

Is Olly a real designer who offers training for this program?
No. She's a paid actress.
She deleted the stairwell treads and landing area???????
She moved the whole stairwell back in order to open up that landing...they skipped over that part ;)
"First things first" 🤣😂
