you are not kidding? She can be very nasty as she is from a family of "have it all". I have never seen anything really remarkable that she ever performed.
@@elenakaraeva5039 no, Amsterdam falls low having invited her, understandable, though, pandemic was a disaster for theaters. They need money. Finally, a chance for Smirnova
She's so good that Bolshoi recruited her straight into the rank of soloist right after her graduation from the Academy. That is quite literally unheard of. Not to mention by the end of her second season she was promoted to leading soloist. I believe she held that rank for three years before being promoted to principal.
I came looking for Olga Smirnova and I found this other angel. Both women are fantastic artists. Thank God for both of them and the joy and beauty they bring to the world. 🧚❤️
Olga embodies each role with great passion ( and countless hours in the studio) and has a brilliant technique. Also, she is a real "jewel" in the diamond variation-stunning. Again, thanks for all of your amazing videos. ❤❤🌹🌹💞💕
"small" thing: good technique is missing. Bolshoi is a joke of a ballet. They have turned into a privileged cabaret for political leaders and collective farmers long time ago. Now dirty Russian money spread "talents" all over the world. In this video, I saw little real challenging ballet, though she can be pretty: what else?
Most superior brilliance of a ballerina I've ever witnessed on screen! One can have a dream, but I hope to see her in person perform before I pass into the next realm of life. I've seen Maya Plisetskaya, a privilege.

The starting point of your Montage - - Smirnova's Kitri Act 3 is a good shot - - perfectly considering the - - angle - - light - - and camera movement. The extreme close-up @ 0.26 of the dancer's feet. Then the closely (medium shot) filming - - again - - of Smirnova's Russian "light as air" feet. Then the long shot - - of the large area of the film setting. It has set up - - a fantastic overall look - - to your Best Of Smirnova story❗Which consequently makes your work of art - - an excellent Montage story❗IMHO Smirnova is a greatly talented ballet dancer❗ And her - - Bridesmaid dance - - is one of my favourite❗Thank you @ DLB for posting.
Grazie Olga Smirnova.

This is Olga Smirnova. A Russian ballerina. About her the BBC writes. Because Olga finally had enlightenment, and she declared that she was "against the war with all the fibers of her soul." Then she left Russia to join the Dutch National Ballet. Who received her immediately and with warm embraces. Now she will dance beautifully in Europe. And this is Artem Datsyshyn. A Ballet dancer of the National Opera of Ukraine and winner of international competitions. He will never dance again. He died at the hands of the Russian occupiers. That's all you need to know about culture outside of politics. On the prospects of unity under the auspices of culture. And about the price of war. Which we pay. And which they (Russians) use.

This may be a hallmark of the Russian "legato"-infused style - where the upper body reflects the melody and not the beat. For me, I find this style of dance more expressive but understand that others may have a different taste.

Such a pity she left Russia over politics. Perhaps one day she will return. Regardless, she's a Russian Prima ballerina and was trained at Vaganova and it shows!
