Thank you, a very clear and to the point video. The serpentine belt snapped on my Wife's Peugeot 207 yesterday and didn't realise until the battery went flat and the car came to a sudden stop on a roundabout. Will get the belt sometime after Xmas and get the new one fitted.
I had to sub to your great channel straightaway my Guy, honestly you made replacing tensioner job so easy. Keep doing more videos my friend. Highly appreciated 👍🏾👌🏾❤️💪🏾
Hi EJO, you're great. I leave in Portugal and I enjoy your sou much this tutorial made by you. Thanks for that and go on!! Thanks and forgive my bad english.
I can't find the exact specs on them sorry. But I think they where standard M8 screws, one with allen head and the other with a hex head. You should be able to get them from Peugeot for a cheap price though. 😊
Hi, great tutorial, no messing abiut like alot of others. Is it possible to replace the two other tensioners! +/pulleys? I think you said it's the AC and the alternator pulleys? Mine is very noisy and needs a belt anyway so seems pointless in my case to not do the whole lot? Thanks.
Thank you, it's possible but theres a lot more involved. You need to remove the altenator completely in order to replace the bearings inside. Keep in mind there are most likely 2 bearings that support the axle in the altenator, so you need to disassemble it fully and press out/in the bearings. It's probably easier to replace the entire altenator if you're sure that it is the culprit.
Hello! It's actually just a paint can opener don't know the brand on the one in the video, but this one is similar: www.amazon.com/AES-Industries-AES-87947-Magnetic-Opener/dp/B016IWKBJS
Hi, thank you for this informative video, am driving a Citroen C2 VST 1,6 2005 my alternator belt snapped so I am considering buying a new tensioner and belt, but how do I know what belt size to buy if I don't have the old one? Please help out.
Thank you. Many auto part websites can find you the right part for your car if you type in your vin number/ license plate or model information. A dealership can with ease find you the correct part, check with them :)
Hello, thanks for watching! The drive belt should be changed as part of scheduled maintenance. As the rubber belt gets old it starts to deteriorate and cracks in the belt start forming. Eventually the belt can even snap off.
Your thermostat itself or the thermostat sensor might be broken down. If you're seeing temporary ups to max and downs to normal temp in the water temp gauge when driving, then it's 99% from these... Also check if your coolant water level is as expected and the oil level is normal. Hope these would help...

Cheers thanks will look that up 👍👍👍😊😊
WHAT SIZE SOCKET ?
Hi. Is the the Timing belt? Or is there only 1 belt. Cheers.
No, this is not the timing belt. This is the aux belt, which in this case drives the altenator and the AC pump.
Where do you get one of those locking pins?
It was already installed in the kit.
@@ejoautovideos Thanks! This is a great video by the way - giving me the confidence to try it myself!
@@pixelfibre Thank you! So glad to hear that!
Is this the 73PS engine?

Hi! Is there a way to set the tension?
It's an automatic tensioner. It adjusts it self from spring pressure. 👍
@@ejoautovideos so there's no way to set lower tension? My belt feels just too tight...
Is this similar to the Peugeot 807 2.2 hdi ?
Not sure, as I'm not familiar with that engine. It should follow the same basic principles though. :)
@@ejoautovideos yeah looks good, I just had a look, mines bouncing about and is quite noisey
which obe is water pump?
You can not see the water pump in this video. It is behind the timing belt cover and is driven by the timing belt.
what the reason you change that ?

EJO Auto Videos okay , that happen to me when im traveling and the belt snap out . you think i need to change that also ?
@@KECIKKCHANNELYes, it's always best to replace the belt and the tensioner to be on the safe side.
EJO Auto Videos thanks
cool stuff...just saying you can do the whole procedure without removing all these covers...just open the hood there is space do it
Yes, it could be done that way but only if you were a minion 😂
Is that a 1.6hdi engine??
No, it's a 1.4 petrol (kfu engine).
