Over 40 yrs ago....I hill climbed and rallied a near standard immaculate coupe with a cage n sump guard. It was a great rocket to throttle steer in the tight stuff.
The handling was different that’s for sure. What a cool car to rally though.
Nice car sounds bloody good 👍
It sounded amazing, esp when Dion ran it up the revs
That little durrito loves them high Rs. Definitely a cool car. Those seatbelt angles look brutal, I would definitely have to do something about that.
Noticed that did ya. I couldn’t get it to sit right.
@@gumbootrallynz haha it was the first thing I noticed on the in-car footage. Those belts definitely seem like they are at a strange angle, would drive me nuts. Love the car though.
@@OneMoreBolt such an amazing little car. And that power was unreal when you wound it up
nice one.
Thanks bro
Nex level Lovely
Fun car eh
* says something *
“Sorry?”
* SHOUTS *
“Ahhh yeah!”

The camera did a pretty good job compared to real life tbh.
Great vid but...I gotta call BS on 273 @ wheels! Im older than the 2 of you, had coupes sedans, 2s3s & 7s with every port & IDA & exhaust configs & I wanna see the dyno sheet.
Ya lucky to get that with a T04 turbo & 51ida. Maybe @ flywheel if its really well sorted - maybe!
Still, how much fun, wahoo!!
T04 and a 51mm IDA it’s not 1980, have seen plenty of 13b bridgeports make this power Technology and fuel have changed dramatically in the last 20 years, car probably runs a good set of coils not your old Bosch GT40s and probably runs on 98 octane fuel, that mixed with some good porting, high compression and someone who knows what they are doing with timing and jets/chokes sizes and it’ll definitely make that power, I have a 12a Bridgeport making over 200 and has made around the same on several different dynos.
It’s amazing how things have advanced over the years. I mean who would have thought in the 80s/90s that you could have a phone, tv, camera, calculator and computer all in one? Can’t wait to see where we get to over the next 20-30 years
I have no reason to doubt Deon if he was making things up why not say 500bhp
273 at the wheels???????????????? come on man.
Yeah man at the wheels. Great fun
pretty high from what i thought also
@@gumbootrallynz yeah ok , whatever you say!
Sorry guys I’m confused? Are you saying it’s not that or that’s not much?
I remember when 1000 hp was a huge number now people are doubling that and some.
Nyles old car?
I’m not sure sorry
