I loved dancing to this in 1965 when I was 16 years old in my mini skirt, white knee length boots and my hair back combed and rock hard with hair lacquer. Happy days and so much better times back then when we lived in much freer times. I wish I could go back just for a day.😊
In 2009 I traveled to Houston Texas to see a concert. The show was in Conroe and the main attraction was DJ Fontana (Elvis first drummer) was playing. Opening for DJ was Sundance Head which I thought was cool because I saw him on American Idol. During part of the show I stepped outside to smoke and as I was standing near the alley behind the theater this man asked me how I liked the show. I told him I liked it and he said he was Sundances’ father, so we shook hands as I told him I was a fan of his son. Being born in 1975 Roy Heads career was before my time and I was unfamiliar but when I got home I looked him up and saw him moving like James Brown! I couldn’t believe I never heard of him! Anyway he was a nice guy and we had a fairly long conversation about music. I’m really glad I had the chance to meet him.
I just happened to see this video by chance, I guess. I can't believed I got see this man in 1966 in Corpus Christi,Texas. He was great. Where was Elvis? I'm 81 now, & I'm so glad I got to see his videos after all these time. Same ol, same ol. Me, too. I wish I could go back just for that day.
