Hey sis! Im a 3rd year medical student (and former RN). Sounds like baby Priest experienced a febrile seizure, which can happen with young kids and goes away when the fever does. It’s still very scary to experience and definitely needs to be talked about more. I’m glad Priest is doing better and will definitely say a prayer for him. You are doing a great job as a mom.
Awww Priest we love you nephew! I’m glad he’s better and while it can it’s scary you acted so quickly and did the right thing to keep him safe plus spreading awareness for those that don’t know. Xoxo
I pray that Priest doesn't have to go thru this again. Your a beautiful mom and I love how your focus on his well been.❤ You and Priest will continue to be in my prayets.
"It gives church" had me ROLLING 😂😂😂😂😂😂. "we love that but it's not giving what I want it to give" Girl bye!!! I CAN NOT. The way you were so dead serious when you were saying it as well like you are just done with the bun...this had me screaming. You know when you start to do hand gestures you mean business. Keep the vlogs coming. ❤
Janae those are febrile seizures that he had. Very common in children unfortunately. You’re rightfully concerned and I’m glad you shared your experience to bring awareness to them for other moms/caregivers. It does put them at risk for future febrile seizures if they have had one. Praying for you guys! Everything will be ok. ❤
Hey Jae, been watching you for a while now and followed your journey so far, you are so strong and doing amazing! Just thought I’d let you know as times can get hard for us single mothers as the pressure of everything is always on our shoulders . Stay strong and you will get everything you deserve❤
I had a febrile seizure when I was around 6 and never had one again. As a mom I’ve always been so scared because they come out of no where!! I’m so glad he is okay. Also, those fever forehead patches work so good I use them for my son as well🫶🏻
Seeing you tear up about your baby made me cry instantly. I’m a first time mom too and they really are our world ❤ praying for you both I’m so happy Priest is doing well 💕💕
My daughter is 19 months old and drinks soy milk. She's never had whole milk due to her having a dairy allergy. If you don't want to give your son whole milk, don't. He will get the protien that he needs from the food that he eats and from any alternative milk that you choose.
I’m glad you were with your friend when that happen to your sweet baby and not alone. As a mom of 4 I know how hard it can be to watch your baby suffer. Glad he’s doing better ❤
I’m so happy and thank God Priest is doing better and he doesn’t have any long term medical issues 🙏🏾 I’m not a mom but I can imagine what you were going through as a first time mom. I pray this never happens again to Priest as he continues to grow up healthy and strong, we love you baby 🙏🏾👏🏾🫶🏾😊
Omg I’m a mom of one boy as well my son is almost 12 now I’m so sorry that happened being a mom is the hardest yet most rewarding job ever and I swear it gets so much easier❤
In my prayers! My oldest daughter experienced the same as Priest when she was a baby and it scared me as well. She had it happen to her 3 times and each time I could not help but panic. She was the only one of my three daughters to ever experience it. It never affected her health or wellbeing in any negative way.
Its called a febrile seizure...I promise the seizures don't cause pain and it's just the body's way of dealing with the high temperature... it is natural to feel how you feel it's your baby. You did all the right things and just now there isn't anything you can do to stop it. I pray you never experience that again and thank god he's ok. It's crazy what we go through as mothers. Sending love, light and protection to you both. ❤❤❤❤
I’m glad you said what you said about the vaccines. That’s exactly what I was going to comment about but I didn’t want to be insensitive to you. I definitely disagree too all of those shots. All. Based on my experience in my family owning a daycare, the vaccinated kids were sick a lot more and dealing with febrile seizures whereas the non vaccinated kids didn’t have to deal with that.
INCHESSSS FOR DAYS 😍💃🏽Sundays is Janae’s day at this point the consistency 💫💅🏽 you’re thriving love 💕 hopefully Priest is better and has fully recovered. She say it gives church 🤣 I HOLLERED! 😅 my dog twisting his head at me like ma you good. The outfit gave what it was supposed to give you was overthinking it!
You look so goooood with the new hair ohhh my God 😍! I saw you on Instagram and girlll you are slayingggg I'm obsessed ❤! So so glad Priest is doing so much better, it's hard being a single mom🥺😭
When my babies have fever I rotate cold towels on their body while they sleep. I have also tried the sliced potato in sock trick overnight! Gives them a break from the medicine.
Try Kiki milk, it’s a plant based option for kids and has a lot of the main sources of nutrients kids need. Whole Foods has it, Amazon or thrive market.
We do oatmilk. My son has a milk allergy. We've done it since he was little. He loves it. We also tried Ripple which is pea protein he liked that one a lot as well.
The quick weave though 👀…..EATS 👏🏾🔥 The guy at the salon definitely did his big one with the cut 🫶🏾 We can never get away from a bust down, middle part…it’s going to EAT every time 😜😍
Glad you talked about the milk it is definitely not what we should be drinking. Look up Ki Ki milk for Priest its a clean plant based milk that's a good alternative. Glad he is feeling better.
If your hair is blunt braids arent the best option remember when your hair was sticking out the ends. Maybe some tape ins if your worried about the the blending

Omg my daughter had a febrile seizure when she was 1 and I was all the way in Puerto Rico for my birthday , it’s when they have a fever and their brain can’t regulate it so their body tries to, also my daughter has never had dairy milk she was breast fed for 18 months and almond milk , she’s 7 now and we drink Oatmilk whole milk causes a lot of diseases and create mucus .
yesss ok good im glad to hear that. I just got oat milk for him so that makes me feel good about the decision to switch over ! and im so sorry to hear that those seizures are so scary omgggg. The worst thing ever especially for you not to be out of town!!
@@janaedaugherty527 literally it was the worse , I’m glad you made the switch and Oatmilk won’t be hard for him to adjust it’s thick like whole milk and doesn’t taste weird I’m not sure what brand you use but we use chobani and I get the creamy one they also have coffee creamers as well but u really like Starbucks Oatmilk creamer they just have limited flavors
Hey girl, Do not give kids almond or any nut milks due to possible allergies. Plus the doctor is right there is no protein in the almond milks at all for kids. Also, unless you’re making the almond milks at home they have way too much sugar and other additives in them. Milk does not cause asthma at all either. Asthma is a genetic condition where the lungs are shaped smaller than the average and also, it’s a condition that has been developed from the womb/birth.
I say switch him to almond milk to see if he likes it! If he likes it great, if he doesn't he can always go back to whole milk. Its worth a shot at least because whole milk really doesn't have any major benefits. Sending my love
JANAE stop ittttt! This vlog was just too much jokes(obviously minus the scare with priest) But the vertebrae sweatpants... listen I couldn't stop cracking up.... The fact that you have me commenting 3x in the comments. Girl I don't comment on nobody's vlogs/videos..just Nada. But for you/this vlog I'm sorry I had too.x

Buy a tympanic or forehead thermometer to monitor his temperatures
you think the forehead thermometers are accurate?
@@janaedaugherty527 at times they can be inconsistent, but you’re really looking to get a baseline. Rectal is honestly the best option but no fun!!
