So it sounds like the primary stability of the Eveready is less than the Blackfish but the secondary stability is better with the Eveready. I'll check out the link on the discussion regarding radius rails vs the angled rails
I got to try a friend’s 22.5 Everready for a bit. The first thing I noticed was the insane amount of glide between strokes! Way more than my 404 Jump (23.5). I like the rounded rails and more tapered nose too, although I didn’t get to try it in chop. Of course those features do come with a trade off of stability.

I tried both the 24" and 26" during our annual Avila Beach Downwind Camp with Anthony and Dave and the 24" was about the most stable board I have ever paddled. I ordered one! On the Central Coast of California we have BIG downwind conditions and thats what I love the most. I would never paddle a 24" board normally in 20-35mph winds and 7-12ft of swell. This board was a winner! And the ability to use it in 'flat water' conditions with its amazing glide and all around capabilities just made this a 'no brainer'. I will still keep my 25.5" Downtown for the especially gnarly conditions for sure, but can't wait to get my 24. Nice video!

Thanks for the review but I’m more confused than ever. The rounded rails seem to make the board a bit less stable for you but Infinity says it makes it easier to ride over chop. Some of the comments suggest boxy rails are more stable than rounded but the AllStar has boxy rails and is well known for poor primary stability (but great secondary). I guess the only way is to go somewhere where you can test a few.
Yes, the best way is to definitely test the boards out for yourself if you're able to. The rounded rails do allow the board to ride over chop easier but also allow the board to role more which can cause you to feel unstable. This is just my personal experience and opinion though.
Not going to mention what company race board I do have. But unlike the other ones with Edged rails my new race board has rounded rails and for me is very shaky in side chop Especially with boat wakes . The board is made strictly for flat water. Rounded rails takes some time to get use to. If you’re a smaller or lighter human I’m sure you will have a easier time with those rounded rails. For distance races for 4 hours or longer ( Lake Tahoe 22 miler ) it really takes a toll on your legs , those boats out there are really a pain in the ass . Absolutely have to train the leg’s for Endurance, with those rounded rails. Great review. Rock and roll 🎸

How durable does the board appear to be? Will it deform after 10 minutes in the sun? What's going to happen with a misplaced paddle? A scratch or a rip?
It's a very durable board when it comes to the sun. But, like any paddle board you don't want to leave it sitting in direct sunlight if you're not using it. Likewise, just like any hard board you're going to get marks on it from your paddle hitting it. It's just part of making your board unique to you. 😉 You can apply rail guard tape to it though like I have to help protect it even further from marks or dings.

This is a much better bird review than I’m used to because I personally don’t give a shit about the specs. I want to know how it performs and I want to see the data. I bought the Gen R on the starboard name and I hate it with a passion.
