I purchased one like that at Iowa 80 back in 08. Used it for 6 years as a freezer under my bunk on my pete had a cabinet refrigerator also. Just pulled it out of storage and has my icream in it at this time:) ..My big suggestion is to hard wire it with fuse and good cable. Don't starve them with power.(thats hard on the little compreser) . It should last you. Be safe
That's awesome it still works. I would like to hard wire it but it would be hard since i will have to move it so much but I'm going to see what i can do. It would be better
I have a iceco jp50 (cheaper fridge/freezer) . Definitely smashed the lid with a 5th wheel. Stays in the bed with Travel trailers though. I use a 7way to 12v dc connector. I now put it in the backseat for 5ths. The fridge is a life changer!
I'm thinking I'll feel the same way. I had thought about the 7 way to 12v and keeping it back there and still might after it gets a couple of dings on it, lol
I had a old model CFX 40. It had the older style lid. It's going on 9 years old now. I don't have it anymore. A lady that's a truck driver has it now. Still going. It has spent it's entire life as a freezer. I was at a camp store in Fresno Ca. And they had a lot of different 12v fridge. I compared the CFX3 25 to the one you have and it's basically the same. I have two Dometics a 25 and a 55im. I'm hoping they last like my old one. If not I'm going with Engel. The reputation they have is pretty steller.
I hear it if I'm listening for it.very low noise. If there is any other noise around i don't hear it at all.i personally don't have a issue sleeping close to it
