People have been doing this with cameras on eBay as well, gutting them and replacing the internals. Amazon probably opened the box to check that it was there, thought "that looks like RAM, right label, good to go" without checking that the quantity that shows up when plugged in is incorrect.
It’s people like this who make companies like Amazon change their return policy. They think they got away with it, but they didn’t. They’ll have to answer for that. Maybe not in this lifetime but the next.
5:00 Amusing that. I just moved to Perth (to live) a few days ago and when that blast happened I was confused and didn’t know if that was a normal thing, thanks to your video learning what was happening in the neighbourhood haha.
I had a similar scam with Amazon around this same time as this vid was released. I had ordered a sim racing wheel upgrade to my Thrustmaster T300 and purchased from the same Amazon Used Warehouse to upgrade, a like new Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer. Waiting the delivery time the parcel finally arrived in the proper box but inside was a T300 like mine but about a decade older and dirty!!! I immediately called Amazon and had a full refund within two hours. I reluctantly purchased a brand new replacement and have zero regrets spending more money if not for peace of mind alone! Cheers
I just bought some CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) 6600MHz CL32 Intel XMP iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - Black (CMH96GX5M2B6600C32). I have not tried them out yet, I better check them out before the 30 days is up.
yes ok mate. Just the name of the ram and size is good enough. We do not need a full description. What time and date did you say you bought it? Bloody hell!!!!
It's funny I just got scammed buying ddr5 Ram I was sent a refurbished Vengeance but it wasn't DDR5 someone changed the heatsinks and put them on DDR3, but I didn't buy the refurbished one I purchased brand new
casual breaking bad situation mid recording, would have been funnier if you finished in a hazmat suit 😄
If only I was that prepared haha
That was a real 'Eye opener' T M P I never thought in my wildest dreams that someone would go to all that trouble, thanks for the Heads-up mate.👍
It’s quite a bit of effort to save $200 Aud

I've always been treated fairly by Amazon but I only ever buy new.
Good call, I will now too.
This is more Amazon got scammed, not the buyer. We can always return what we buy.
That’s true

I’ve bought “new” from Amazon and had exactly the same issue….. so someone had opened and resealed the original in a way that made it look unopened…..

It sounds to me that Amazon or Corsair was scammed rather than you
Make it a love triangle
Report the buyer, they need to face jail time 😊
