- VOL.1 - • QUENTIN TARANTINO. Fro...
VOL.2 - • QUENTIN TARANTINO. How...
In this volume we will talk about the history of Hollywood: about Pete Duel and Hal Needham, about the romance of the profession and an incredible duo, about the quintessence of cinema and the best of Quentin's references.
“Quentin Tarantino is more than a director and screenwriter. More than an actor and producer. More than a man. Quentin Tarantino is a phenomenon. We were lucky to become his contemporaries, observe how his work changed, how he himself changed, and how he is changing the world around him.”
But seriously, this is a story about Quentin Tarantino.

These 3 volumes has been the most fulfilling content I've ever consumed, nothing less then what Quentin Tarantino deserves
Indeed that was a awesome documentary
All of you QT dick riders make me laugh 😂
If you’re saying “consuming content” then you’re already on the wrong track
@jackmace6531 huh?
@@jackmace6531yeah lmao gross wording
The Tarantino violence montage was master editing.
Hey! Thank you!
What time does it start?? I was just listening to the video so I missed this.
@@Juah00 around 38:50 onwards i believe
Agreed. One of the greatest things I've seen in quite sometime.
There is something special about this film. I have now put the blue ray on so many times...not to see the whole thing, but to see the "in-between" parts, the pauses and silences in a conversation...the driving around, the streets, the movie theaters, the sun going down on that town, the neon lights turning on. These parts to me are magical.

Me too I think I'm on my 14th viewing?! People think I'm nuts!
In 1968 there was a magical moment everywhere in the United States!
This film is self absorbed boring twaddle with no story
To go from Pulp Fiction to this abomination is depressing to say the least
AWESOME MOVIE but I didn’t much care for Al Pacino’s performance
To me, this is Tarantino’s greatest project. I love old Hollywood content.
Yeah man! The movie is 100 % coolness
Easily gives Pulp Fiction a run for its money.

I agree, although normally I’m not a fan of Hollywood sucking itself off, OUATIH does it wonderfully

Missed that on editing(
When I was 13 years old in 1997 guess what was on my Christmas list, I begged my Mum for the 💿 The Tarantino Connection, all is 🎥 soundtrack. I loved it. That little bit of tear let me down, it followed my act as a clown, I had it made up and nether made a sound, but that little bit of tear let me down. Best album I've ever had in my life.
Tremendous work ! A lot of research, i love the narrator's voice, plus the one that imitates Tarantino
this channel deserves a lot more views
You got it. This was brilliant.
The way this whole series was stitched and brought to life is brilliant. Proper research, the style of narration, including Tarantino's style itself, the music and it's timing. Felt like Tarantino himself made a documentary about him making films. Magic. Great stuff. Will be waiting for more videos from this channel.
Wow, thank you very much for such a beautiful compliment 😊
not exactly proper research when they said kurt was the only child actor to still be acting in big movies.. when the actual STAR of the documentary can ALSO be classed as that very thing.. Dicaprio has been acting since he was TINY!!!
Mind blown, this is definitely the best documentary I've seen on Quentin to date. The details and editing were immaculate, great job!
Even when he called Gravity “Gravitation”?
@@michaelpacinus242 that one clearly went over my head
Everything except the female voice for some of the quotes. Every actress sounded like an elderly Japanese woman
I am completely astonished as to how well put together this 3 part series is. I was hooked in about 10 minutes in the first part and it’s now 5:50 am. The editing is is so spot on and story telling Tarantino himself would be proud of. Cisco and Ebert Would give this 👍🏼👍🏼 lol
Thank you, James!
I just found this by accident. This is a film in itself
When you were young and a movie trailer came on TV (like in the late 80 or the whole 90s or early 00s no wait not the 00) when they would tell how many thumbs up it got, whose name did you hear? I always heard Sisco Aneba.
@@RuckBuckington Back then trailers were only 15 - 30 second long. Now it seems to me they take 1 minute out if every hour?
I loved that old Western "Ebert and the Cisco Kid"
watched all three parts during a spat of insomnia and it was the best 3 hours of non-sleep i've had in a while. thank you!
Same here lol
Ditto here.

Lol same here. Had shoulder surgery few days ago haven’t had proper sleep since. Went down Tarantino rabbit hole

Just finished watching your Tarantino videos and this is such a great content man. Hope your channel will keep growing because this just deserve it to get really big. I just hit 100k recently and i am sure you will get there faster than i did. Respect.
Glad you enjoyed that! Really appreciate your feedback! Keeping fingers crossed!
Just checked your channel. Your videos are so relaxing. Very good job!

@@OkoloKino I'm so confused how you don't have at least a million views for this.
This is an absolute brilliant documentary, not rushed, really well edited and including small annedoctes with the right and rare references and photage. A lot of work but also love for Tarantino's work. Well done!!
Im going to cry after i watch tarantino's last film. He's my favorite director of all time,he's the GOAT!
The amount of care that went into these 3 volumes is astonishing. I love film documentaries, and this one is up there with the best of the best. Amazing body of work, no less. ❤
Thank you very much, Elod, for such a beautiful compliment! Hope you enjoy our other works too.
@@OkoloKinooh yes. I’m watching the Scorsese one as we speak. ❤️❤️❤️
I've seen a few documentaries about Tarantino that all contained interviews with various cast and crew, but I believe this is the first I've seen done from an outside perspective. I just watched all three parts of this bad boy in a row and what a watch is was! The research must have been insane, and the editing and just the whole works has such a meticulous attention to detail! This is some professional level stuff by people who clearly know what their doing. You guys made something that I'd say is essential to view for anyone interested in Tarantino! I'm shocked that I just happened across this channel, which thankfully popped up in the side-bar of another documentary I watched last night. I'm subbed, liked, and gonna share this online and offline as well! I know people who would love this! Thanks for the hard work, can't wait to dig into your other work! Hope you're channel blows up, I feel like it's an inevitability when the quality is this damn high!
We are very happy that you shared our work. Your words inspire us to continue creating. You have made us a very beautiful gift with your warm words. Thank you so much for sharing our movie. Our greatest wish is that one day we can receive feedback from the heroes of our films and complete our works with first-hand interviews. Thus, your help to share our work is very important to us. Thanks again!
I found this series exactly the same way. Boy am I glad, it is one of the best videos I've seen on UA-cam.
This document sure has a good editing
This documentary was the best. I thought I knew everything there was to know about Tarentino and his movies, but there was so much I never knew before watching this.
Yes. You are right on. I enjoyed these so much and can't wait to watch more of this content for sure.🎞️🎥🎬🏆(edit) I am not one to share content very often but this went out to a few good friends that live his work. I hope they enjoy your work as much as the rest of us hateful folk.
This movie was immensely enjoyable. The ending is probably the best I have ever seen .. in light of how unexpected the movie ended.
Nothing person and with all due respect. Rotten Tomatoes hadn't even reviewed this movie. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are great. He had a writing partner for those 2 great films.
Everything else he’s done has mediocre writing and tries to get by on shock value. The characters are one dimensional, the plots are hokey, the dialogue is forced, and the acting is underwhelming when you consider what some of the talent he’s worked with is capable of.
The Kill Bill movies would have been derided as total crap had they been released by someone who wasn’t already famous with a devoted following. It’s like someone sat at a whiteboard brainstorming all the edgy tropes they could come up with and then tried to piece together a story out of it.
Quentin Tarantino’s movies are try-hard nonsense. They’re supposed to be extremely edgy and cool, but they’re barely watchable once, if that, and completely forgettable if you aren’t someone who thinks memorizing and quoting lines from his movies makes you cool.
Good luck. Sorry but I just like to speak my mind.
The novel of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is pure genius as well. Cliff Booth is my favorite character ever written by Tarantino. I really hope he continues as a novelist when he's done making his last film. I would read every single one for sure. Again, these are just wonderfully done documentaries. I'm very glad I found them. Best Tarantino documentary I've seen l. Bravo!
The editing and tidbits of information are mind blowing. You guys really put the work in and got the details down. Quentin would be proud of the effort.
hope leo and brad do more films together. their chemistry is great 👌
Where do I start with how much I enjoyed this documentary? I guess with how informative and insightful it was to take that journey through Quentin's point of view. I believe Quentin was the best thing to happen to hollywood in the past 50 years or so. I have seen EVERY ONE OF HIS FILMS COUNTLESS TIMES OVER!!. I still believe in the magic of movies. Thank you for posting this video!!
Man these three parts were by far the best documentary i have ever seen about my favorite director of all time. Everything is just perfect. The editing, the narration, the music, the details, the knowledge, everything! An absolute masterpiece of a documentary, just like Quentin's movies.
Bro youre a legend. Watched all 3 parts with my mouth open. I thought i knew ALOT about Tarantino and his films. You blew my mind. A heartfelt thank you❤
Well, I enjoyed what you have done with the three hours about Quentin since from 1995 to 2004 I was partners with Quentin and Lawrence and was the Co-Founder and CEO of A Band Apart Commercials and Music Videos where we did all the best work during that period. So you got about 97% right and I really enjoyed it. Keep making these.
Oh, wow. I can imagine the stories…
This 3 part Tarantino series gotta be the best piece of content I have ever seen on UA-cam. That must have been hours and hours and days and days of work. Super impressed here. Looking forward to watch all your videos. I cross my fingers for you and your channel.
Quentin Tarantino is an absolute genius and living icon! He has singlehandedly changed the landscape of cinema history, and American pop culture!
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is an excellent film, and easily one of his best ever. I highly recommend it for anyone that appreciates his work.
I would love to see the Directors cut. I'm sure that it's even better than the actual film.
The novel is also brilliant, and an instant collectors item as a hardcover first edition. What makes the novel so interesting is that it gives the reader so much more insight on the characters.
It's also very informative about the history of western films. The fact that both film and novel is based on Hollywood during the late 1960s is the most interesting aspect of this story. A lot the novel brings back priceless memories of my early childhood during the early 1970s. Also, life in Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley.
Q.T. has created another masterpiece!
Mr. Tarantino you have created the most brilliant film I have ever had the pleasure to view thank you Sir.
Another outstanding job. Huge appreciation for the work put into these documentaries.
We all watch movies and get entertained. But we are never always aware of the the immense work and detail that goes into creating these masterpieces. This is a fabulous documentary reminding us. There is more to a film than just rolling a camera.
Very good comment, thank you!
Awesome job on the documentary. This is better than 99% of the documentaries available on the streaming services. Someone hire this team. Please.
Amazing, over 50 years ago, I was there😮 right after all that stuff happened, what a time in history ❤❤❤❤thank you for this 😅
What most people don't know is there was a stuntman named Shorty Shea who when to Spahn Ranch only to be murdered by the Manson clan, making the scene with Pitt the even more suspenseful. Seeing him drive off was a small "once up a time". The main one being the ending with Sharon living also. It's a literary technique, an enclusio; an alagory or retelling of the story within the story. Here done brilliantly.
Also on the innovative side is when Pitt flashes back while on the roof. Then in his flashback is another flashback.
Great writing.
It’s what we wanted to happen!!!!
Amazing documentary on Quentin! So professional, so many details and fun facts! Really well done and executed. 10/10
Quentin Tarantino is the best director in the world! Thank you for creating this documentary Kolo Kino...
Greetings from the Netherlands!
This has to be one of the best movie reviews and talk abouts I have ever watched
Thank you! I will really try to do it even better for "The Critic". What expectations do you have about it?
Having grown up in the 1970's, you really appreciate the attention to detail the entire production team went through to bring back such an accurate depiction of the wonderful era. This movie makes me miss my youth more and more. Great work all around!
Vern Orrell --- Thank you for your comment and compliment to the crew for the hard work that was put into the production of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
As the State Licensed Electrician for Locations, I can tell you that the whole crew went above and beyond to make Quentin's vision reality. I have been a fan of QT's films since his first and when I got the phone call and was asked if I had time and if I was interested in working on a film that would most likely be a full-time gig for four or five months, I said sure without knowing what show or director. I'm fortunate enough to be one of the best at what I do and work on mostly the top films and tv shows for all the major studios. When we started scouting locations, the first place is when I found out who was director and what film it was, I had to stay cool and professional but when I got in my car when we left that location I couldn't believe my luck. But when we started working I realized why I was chosen to do the electrical work that needed to be done. It was brutal. I worked almost seven days a week, every week and every day was 14 -18 hours, the whole crew did about the same. It was worth it. It was such an honor to be part of such an iconic, instant classic. We all knew from the beginning this film was going to be epic. Even though few people knew the whole script. We just did what was asked of us.
It turned out fantastic.
This documentary is one of the best ones I've seen about this movie.
@@13_13k Kenneth, thanks for the details on your experience working on the movie. You did get a great gig to be able to help bring that great production to life.
This is such a wonderful tribute to such an influential filmmaker. That's a bingo!!✌️
Thank you for this series.. Tarantino has been my ultimate favorite... I've met him on 4 occasions briefly and he has always been gracious and humble ... this series truly is an tribute to a great and talented man... thank you again
This documentary has me swooning once again for Tarantino. Thank you for bringing his whole catalog back to the front of my memories museum. Definitely wanna rewatch it all. Great Doc.
This is one of the best and informative documentaries I have ever seen. Thanks for giving me all this info on one of my favorite movies. I hope Quentin releases a director's cut on Netflix including all the footage I've seen here that he had cut out

Just the narrator alone makes me smile, I don't know why. So much info and great editing. Thanks for the work!

This is the best documentary about Quentin and his films I ever saw.
I've been waiting 2 weeks for this and it wasn't a let down❤
Your work is outstanding and your vocal delivery is remarkably compelling. I've been glued to your Quentin videos not only because they are so incredibly insightful (and as a QT fan of 28 years you've uncovered some awesome and interesting details I never knew) but the pace and flow of information along with your footage makes for an excellent watch that I can easily see myself revisiting and more importantly sharing with fellow movie and Q lovers. Well fvcking done!!
At the end of this 3-chapetered journey I applaud once more. The attention to details, the editing. Impersonating Tarantino's voice. Fantastic. Well worth the trip.
This is one very special, fantastic film ( Once Upon A Time In Hollywood ) ..... one of the best ever.

I just binged all three parts of your Tarantino documentary. I must commend the effort put into this. Extremely well done, from the research right down to the editing. I was entertained all the way through. I know the view numbers are not as high as they should be right now. I have a strong feeling over time this will gain traction and views will increase exponentially. In time I feel as though this will be heralded as one of the best Tarantino docu series available.
These 3 volumes on Tarantino were really excellent, well done.
I'm so glad I have been alive to see his films. Every time I can watch one...I do!
All three parts of the documentary about Quentin are fire. Thank you!
This was just amazing. I actually laughed out loud during the music montage of the violence clips.
Okolo, I just watched your 3-volume work on Tarantino and I'm telling you, this is almost as enjoyable and impressive an opus as some of your subject's films! Three hours that flew by; so informative, interesting, well-documented. I've seen all his films at least once, but learned a ton of fun details. Thanks much for your efforts!
Holy crap! This series was the most perfect documentary I’ve ever seen produced! I so badly NEED the soundtrack!
Beautifully edited. Finishing this final volume reminds me of the moment when I realized I had watched all of Tarantino's movies, and could never see any of them for the first time again. They're so brilliant you can't help but want more.

I love this. Thank you so much for working on a documentary on QT. I specifically loved how the dialogue appeared on the paper being typed and the voice over on it was funny in a really good way. And the murder sequence on this part was great never thought it was that much when put all together. I know him more than I did today, thanks again. Do more for directors if you can please. I could help with the research if need be.

Its 4:58 Am in India n i just finished watching this....one of my favourite director is about to retire only one film away...good video im looking forward to your other videos
Nah, Tarantino said he was retiring 20 years ago .... but he is INCAPABLE to stop writing scripts. If he ever stop filming himself, you will still see his script on screen for a good while. No worries Hardy.
I love every single one of this genius's movie's, however watching this third episode of your 3 excellent videos on this man, I will need to rewatch Once Upon A Time In Hollywood as it means so much more after seeing this. It will be like watching a different film, knowing the back ground of all the characters, thank you 😍

Thanks a lot for this great editorial, editing, timing, tone....everything.
Outstanding! I loved the movie and love this documentary. Thanks for bringing this high quality content to us!
This video is so beautifully edited. What a fantastic job. And a great choice for the voice over.
Once upon a Time in Hollywood is my absolutely favorite movie of his! I can’t believe people hated this movie. I understand that you were let down, because this movie wasn’t a kill Bill or a Django unchained! Quentin Tarantino said this is his most personal film ever!!! 🎥 Meaning it’s completely different from anything else. I’m a new generation fan of Quentin Tarantino and I was not let down of this movie at all… i’ve seen this movie at least 15 times already. And I just keep coming back to it over and over again, this movie really makes you feel at home that you’re part of this universe too.
I love Leo DiCaprio’s and Brad Pitt‘s friendship in this movie. They both worked so well together! Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate did a beautiful job capturing the light and day of the loving Sharon Tate.
