  • Hey everyone, Thanks for viewing the restoration of this 2001 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4x4 that we undertook. The restoration consisted of a full frame off restoration due to how badly rotted the frame was which took just over a year to restore. Toyota always had frame issues especially up here in the north east "New England" where salt roads and wet/ snow are present. The project consisted of exterior paint overhaul, full drivetrain restoration, new donor frame, stainless brake lines, brand new engine, transmission and t/case and so much more. We added some goodies onto this vehicle such as rock sliders, 2" leveling kit, BFgoodrich all terrain tires on oem wheels, Gobi roof rack, Gobi safari ladder, TRD pro grille, TRD Pro emblems and all new lights from our friends over at A1 auto.

Wow! We’ll worth restoring great job!! It’s really hard letting go of family vehicles, I’ve got a 79 Ford,2nd and final restore doing it myself, had since I was 18 now 54, 429 torque storm super charger, under carriage just about as nice as this one. 👌

Great video! I have a 2002 Sequoia that was taken care of it's whole life and is only starting to show signs of frame rot. Being from Canada it never had a opportunity to have a frame replacement, only 2004+. I want to keep it, it just passed 120,000 miles and is in such great shape. I love the truck so much that i'm thinking of keeping it over my 2017 Sierra, after doing a frame replacement, hopefully with a southern vehicle.

Beautiful, but I can imagine that this has some sort of sentimental value to the owner, dumping this money into 01 Sequoia is bananas. No one is going to look at this Sequoia and think its not a rotted out old truck, until they look underneath of course, but who would.

    Wow!
I wonder though-could you send the frame to a galvanizing plant and have it acid dipped and then galvanized?

You probably could but this vehicle will never see such harsh driving ever again.

Just done a paint job on my 2002 LTd Sequoia with 200k+ night and day. Will powder coat the OEM wheels due to corrosion and now replace timing belt, waterpump, radiator, powerstop z36 front brakes, new speakers and Pioneer receiver and basket roof rack in prep for a summer 12k mile USA tour.
