  • This week we take a look at the Bradbuilt Log Hauler which was part of an era, where the construction of many one-off machines, often fabricated by men with no formal qualifications or training, but, driven by a necessity to keep working and provide for their families, was the order of the day. The Bradbilt Log Hauler, is one such vehicle that has been restored by Russell and Phillip Bradley, as a tribute to their father, while holding onto a special part of their family’s sawmilling history.
Sit back and enjoy this wonderful piece of Australian built machinery.

My mother had cousin in Maine who was known for building "tractors" out of old junk car and truck parts. I recall seeing him drill a half inch hole with a huge manual eggbeater drill. This machine reminds me of how so many people used what they could find to build the machines they needed. God bless them and those who keep their art alive.
