But you have to keep in mind that she needs to replenish those supplies over time. Flux, solder, foil, and glass all need replaced after a while: and she didn’t include some other tools needed for the job, such as a fid, patina, wire, pliers, rings, chains, and much more.
Thanks for sharing! This would be the cost to start, but once you have all that, then you can make a lot of pieces before having to buy more glass, solder, foil, and flux
i'm taking a class on stainless that amounted to about that much! class was $180 and i still have a few sessions left. supplies was about $40 since i picked about 4 glass colors ☺️ if i had room for a studio i might invest in the supplies once i get the hang of it! your videos inspired me to finally try it out!
Honestly love videos like this! For someone who’s on a budget, it helps me to think about what hobbies are reasonable to jump right in to and which I need to save more carefully for 💛
but I assume you have to take courses to learn how to do this, also that only ONE sheet of Glass, ONE reel of tape ONE reel of solder, ONE bottle of flux....not counting the equipment for the templates and YOUR TIME (incase people are wondering why you items in your shop arent $5 each :)
This is the exact video I was hoping to find before I bought all of the stuff! I watched a bunch of your videos and I found everything I needed! I never would have known where to start if not for your videos 🫶🏻 thanks they’re super helpful 🖤
This is actually incredibly helpful, thank you very much :)
That is way cheaper than expected

@@apxshift4613 oh ya and obviously there are more expensive options. I was just thinking stuff like a pane of glass would be like $50-100 and such
I've been interested in learning the art of stained glass as one of my next artistic endeavors, thank you for these tips!

Amazing.. I hope people can appreciate and realize that a piece of artwork can be "pricey" due to several factors
Tysm ive been wanting to do this for so long!! Having the breakdown was super helpful! ❤❤❤

True! This video is just to give beginners an idea of what it costs to start!
Ok, but she will reuse the tools. Once you are set up, it is cheaper to maintain.
This is not nearly expensive enough I don’t want or need another hobby thank you very much
THANK YOU !!!!
THIS IS THE INSPIRATION I NEEDED OMG
Ive been wanted to get back into this for years and all i need is the grinder, foil and flux 😅

What a cool hobby!
Where do you buy your big sheets of glass from?
Thank you! Someone else mentioned a minimum for $400 to start and I felt maybe I could do it for less. Thanks 😊

Where do you find/buy patterns from? Do you have to make them yourself?
I love your videos, quick question though, what brand glass grinder do you use?
Where do you buy your glass? The only store near me that carries it is Hobby Lobby and it’s like $20 a sheet :(
What state are you in the stain glass here is expensive in MA . Your stain glass are beautiful
What about ventilation?
What do you do with art of your creations?
That's very cheap for glass. Where I live glass and Flux are about double that!
should add the uses you get from one sheet of glass and the solder and such
May Christ Bless you and your work and may he be with you all :)
Brush to apply the flux!
You really need to add in a grinder or some type of sanding devices to clean up any edges. Good video
I showed a grinder in the video! 😊
@@AmayaJade I am sorry, I missed it twice.
