Old school mechanics cut behind the tear and slide the hose back on and tighten clamp..if it happens again reapeat.. it will probably hold for a year or 2 befor you have to fix again if you run out of hose get a new 1 😂
I find it awfully convenient that you didn't have the engine running / system pressurized showing the fix lol. With my luck that would last 48 hours. I honestly would have just replaced the hose and clamps.
Because this is a quick fix, not a drain the power steering fluid, change the hose, and refill the power steering fix. This took 2mins and the problem is solved.
The only mechanic that do that crap is the one tha dont know nothing about mechanic or a lazy one...ajajajajajaja ..take the clamps..cut where the hole is and push it in with some new clamps...and problem solve..now if the hose dont have clamp..them u have to replace does......😂😂😂😂..
If you knew what you were talking about you would know the hose was not leaking from a hole dummy lol it was the weak hose clamp. So i made it full prove. 2 clamps and rtv will last longer then you will 🤡 lol.
What car is this. I’m trying to find a solution to mine. One day all the power steering fluid is on the floor then I fill it up no more leak then a week later the same thing happens then I fill it up again and no leak till a week later.
Whole bunch of dummies playing follow the leader in the comments lol
Replace the hose and or clamp. Solved

Makes sense, thanks👍🏼😅
When I was 17 that’s how I redid all my cutlass supreme hoses haha unless they were too cracked. 23 now
If you dont mind me asking what size clamp did you use and which oil resistant rtv?
You can get an assorted pack from harbor freight for $6 but 3/8 clamp and ultra grey permatex rtv
@@AUDIO2AUTO thank you so much I'll order them today

Cut the front tip part of the hose off put the hose back on new clamp done
Now you have to replaced the lost fluid. not done yet.. lol
Is it still holding?. I replace my hose but still leak. Maybe leak at the very end of the hose 🥹
@@jackmarsh7328 its still holding. That's why I added the RTV to make it fool proof.
what model of saab is this?? and year please
Y not cut the hose my dude ...
Because the leak is fixed without doing that.
🤣🤣🤣
@@AUDIO2AUTOrtv is expensive. You had plenty of room to cut off an inch of hose to get too fresh.
Need a bigger angle to see exactly where it’s at
That’s pacifying a problem only to have to revisit it again either cut the hose and put it back on or buy a new one🤷🏽♂️
Its still not leaking, shows how much how you know lol
Fatmac....I'm glad you told that clown off
Can this leak cause smoke ??
It can if it is spraying on hot parts of the engine
Could of just replaced the hose instead
Why not just replace the hose ? That would take 10 minutes to change .
