Day 15: Magione to Rome (3,317 km since Belfast)

Last time we were in Rome, it was on a 125cc scooter. The R1300 GS was a bit more of a handful in the little streets and filtering through traffic on polished cobbles.
There were a number of roadworks on the way down this morning with 40 kph speed limits, although it seemed like noone else thought they were for real. With hindsight I should probably have pulled over and let those who wanted to pass, but there wouldn't have been much room for trucks to overtake in the single lane even if I had pulled into the narrow hard shoulder. I'd be interested to hear your opinion.
The B&B (booking.com/Share-H1s2Nt) is excellent and we can also recommend the restaurant at the rear of the building (Ristorante Beccofino).

We are very glad to have met you today, on our way between Rome and Naples.
