Amazing! Thanks for helping me discover stuff I would never have found myself.
To all the bitter folks in the comments section, this guy has basically devoted his life to collecting. He has worked his ass off to learn all this music and where to find it. He was into it long before it became "trendy" again. I wonder how many of you sold him or someone like him your records decades ago when it was hip to hate vinyl. He has also had to sell off most of his collection multiple times as life has required. He has earned this. Maybe try learning from him instead of trying to shame him into giving you records in the spirit of "fairness."
Haha thank you. I could keep it to myself, but I really do want to share the excitement and knowledge with you guys! Reissues are available for most. And all of them can be heard somewhere online. I appreciate your kind words!
Jealousy is a hell of a drug
You sound the most bitter buddy ironically about how others bitter..
@@arzabael Your hat is on backwards, dummy.
Your record knowledge is insane. Most of these records I've never even heard of, let alone know that they are worth something.
It’s just years of obsession!
Same lol I love this guy so much. His love for music is just amazing
Dillon, Your enthusiasm for vinyl has always been inspirational. I have fallen in and out of love with my vinyl collecting over the years, but you always have a way of making me fall back in time after time.
One of the best things about your channel, Dillon, is every video you’re like an excited kid at Christmas. The back to back Josefus, Eternity’s Children, and My Solid Ground did me in 😂
Haha thank you!
At this point, these videos are strictly educational. I hear of so many bands/artists/compilations I would never even know exist. Just goes to show the journey never ends!
It really never ends, there’s so much out there!
Hey @Noble Records, over a year ago I found your channel. I was obsessed with your knowledge on the music and your collection.
November of 2022 I was falling asleep watching your videos every night.
Since then I have amassed a collection of my own spanning all genres from hip-hop all the way to ambient and everything in between.
My collection is probably about 800 records now. And I still have nothing to listen to. Haha! Jk.
I’m always grateful to see your videos pop up on my UA-cam and I just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to start collecting on a different level. Expanding my sound horizon. Thank you Dillon!
Fantastic vinyl record haul! Keep on Truckin’!
You’ve inspired me and given me so many album recommendations through these videos. I also have started collecting records again and decided to make my own music related content as well! Thanks for inspiring others with your knowledge!
These records are insane! Good for Dillion to know about these, majority of collectors - including myself - would have no idea what these bands are...
Dillon as much as I like to rib him as we are buddies these finds are well deserved. The man works his butt off.
Now sell me that Mazzy Star! 😆 🤣 😂
Ha! Thanks man!
I’m a vinyl archeologist in Greenville SC just down the road from you & can attest that the thrift searches in our region are among the best anywhere. It’s all about dedicating the time to go to several spots everyday and not getting flustered during the weeks of flipping through every Andy Williams album purchased in a 50 mile radius in the last 50 years. Just when I think seeing one more Mitch Miller record is gonna make me melt down in front of a helpless Salvation Army employee there lays a Libyan psychedelic album or a stack of rare Northern Soul 45s that pay my rent for 2 months. Good finds my Carolina brother, keep it up!
Thanks for sharing. Some great finds! 🤘✌️
To all who say he is showing off, no he doesn't. I am in the same situation, I just bought 43 high grade collectable Jazz records for my collection and I am so happy. I got them to a very good price from a friend and when these rare occasions happen, you are happy. You doing great my friend, you are not bragging, nice that you share your knowledge wich I don't because I am lazy.
I think it's the fact he always says it's 'an incredible psyche record' or something similar. It's very rarely incredible to listen to, just incredibly priced . Hence a lot feel like he is showing off because a lot of the music is just plain ass, it's rare and expensive because no one liked it, and they never pressed many copies
@@njwtube I also have a very different taste than he has, I like the educational aspect, I see records I don't know about. Would I buy them? NO! I would sell them and buy the music I like. I also think it is a collectors thing, when you know the main stream stuff, you make the deep dive in a style. To me, most of the stuff he shows sounds bad, a lot of bands who never made it for a reason. But he likes it and he likes to share his knowledge in the style, I appreciate this.
I think you really have to be careful saying something is bad, maybe your tastes haven’t evolved to that point yet. Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s bad, or whatever. Just showing the stuff I’m excited about adding to my collection.
@@noblerecords Good and bad is always supjektiv, no question. But as I am a musician all my live and played with a lot of the cats, been a university teacher of my instrument, I can judge better than most, what is technically good and what not. A lot of the Psych stuff is very creative, but that is not enough for me, I want creativity plus technical ability. In short, I am a Jazz collector🙂
@@noblerecords 'tastes haven't evolved to that point' lol. I appreciate all kinds of different music, and a lot of this stuff is bad, point blank terrible to listen to. It has heart and I can see why a collector such as yourself would enjoy it due to the price tag, but there's much much better music out there, that's for sure.
Thanks for the video Dylan. Always enjoy seeing what you get, always new to me, I usually give a few a listen, interesting ! cheers
These are the videos I wait patiently for..🤘 manythnx Dillon
Dillon, thank you so much for sharing your finds! I actually have a little notebook that I carry around with me in my truck to keep an eye out for… I love the part where you said it just doesn’t seem right to swap out a nicer disc into a nicer jacket to make a VG+ package…I feel the same way, I can’t do it (unless the jackets/inserts are identical in every way) Thanks for all of the time and enthusiasm you put into sharing your knowledge😊
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE DRYEWATER RELEASE!!!
Oh My Gawd!!!❤ Crazy Cool!!!
Thankyou Dillon...another killer vid. You energy and excitement is infectious. Congrats from the UK on your recent haul...and keep all 3 obvs.
Haha thank you 🙏
Absolutely insane haul. Congrat!
Many great albums, some new to me, some on my wantlist for ever ! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Dude, you killed it again.
Have mercy! Big start to 2024 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great video I always look forward to watching your videos
another fantastic video.
man im still learning stuff off every video.
love it.....
That Kristyl LP is wild!
Good stuff keep up the fantastic work 👏
What amazing finds Dillon
Thanks so much!
Hi Dillon! Great to see that everything is going so well!! You are a rare record magnet!! 😂 Greetings from Spain!
I try! Thanks so much!
You are unstoppable.
amazing 2024 finds!!
January is always a good month for us in the shop. Lots of people having a clear out. We've had some amazing collections ourselves. I had to take so many gems home myself.
Awesome! Congrats!
Very cool 😎
GREAT FINDS LOVED THE JOSEFUS AND RELATIVLY CLEAN RIVERS ALBUMS.🥃👍
Thanks!!!
Wow, that's some haul for 2024 already. I'm happy too, I finally took the plunge and splashed out on Bacamarte Depois Do Fim and my doesn't know what I paid for it (yet).
Danny and lynda gospel is great. Love what you are doing. Keep em coming !!!
Thank you Dillion my Gary Del Vecchio album arrived in perfect condition! \../\../ You and your staff at Noble Records are the best!!
As a french vinyl lover, i truly love following your vinyl discovery ! You're great dude ❤
Thanks so much!
Dude!!! That is insane!
Thanks brother!
Good for you man! This is unreal. And yes. Keep all 3 of those😂 You’re a record store owner… if there was ever a person who could justify multiple copies of albums…🤘🏼. Keep them coming.
Great video Thanks!
Thanks man!
Booth, Davis, and Lowe is a record out of Phoenix. I've had customers come in and tell me he was a school teacher who would bring his master tapes into class and talk to the students about making records while passing the tapes around the class.
Haha! that’s amazing!
We just had the winter "Vintage Electronics Expo" here in Detroit Michigan area (Southfield Pavilion actually) on Jan 20 2024, and the vinyl pickers were hotly picking the bins it seems..... theres a few videos of the event on YT from this year and years past but its mostly about the equipment, not much about the vinyl.
Great video 🥳
Great stuff Dillon! Happy for you 👍
Thanks brother!!!
Been wanting that Mazzy Star UK original for a LONG TIME
Just listened to that Relatively Clean Rivers album on YT. I can tell by the first listen its going to be a regular for me. Thanks for sharing!
EXCELLENT !!!
🙏🙏🙏
Nice !
There's some real Banger's there.
Thanks!!!!
11:45 I'm sure this band's name was taken from The Band's "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" ...
Those radio city copies are crazy!! I hope to find an original press one day too.
I’m sure you will!
I'm just always grateful to see Dillon showing records that are not the norm on YT. Do people not get absolutely sick of seeing the same old classics and reissues? Music is a constant journey of discovery but many seem to stop at the most obvious classic groups and never move on. The records Dillon is showing here are on the radar of most serious collectors who collect underground psych, rock, funk etc and have been for decades. That argument that all this obscure stuff is rubbish and just collectable because it's rare does my head in. Most of us don't spend hundreds on one record just because it's rare. There's usually a great deal of talent in these groups. OK, they may want to sound like Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, The Meters etc and fall short but that's part of the charm. Long may clueless folks continue to dig losing their mind when they find a rough Steely Dan. I'll be in the box after you pulling the rare private press monster😂
To each their own. I honestly can’t fathom feeling so entitled as to criticize someone for showing records they are excited about, but hey, it’s UA-cam. Thanks for the kind words. I guess I need to show more of my zeppelin records! 🤣
@@noblerecords Turquoise Zep in every video from now on mate😄
Brilliant video as usual. My Solid Ground, Aardvark and Twink I have original copies, The Deviants and Agitation Free r.i's.
re Andy Summers: He also played guitar (pre Police)for a guy called Kevin Coyne and is on a couple of albums by him inc the live double In Living Black & White (a fav of mine). Hard to describe but KC used to work in mental institutions so its a wild acid/psych folk that teeters on a rant....think Gil Scott Heron at his angriest...but with a very very UK vibe. Marjory Razorblade is his best effort. Not sure how easy he would be to find over there but worth checking out. Keep up the good work!
That first track ‘Flying’ off the Underground album sounds a lot like ‘Hornets Nest’ from Curtis Knight & The Squires with Jimi Hendrix
Must be contagious, I too have found some cool 😎 and rare 🥩 records in January as well, makes me wonder what will be found in the next 11 months
Ohhh nice!!!
If you like Mazzy Star check out Opal’s lone LP and comp of early stuff called “Early Recordings” it’s the guitar players pre Mazzy Star band with different female singer. The LP is total heavy psych and the “Early Recordings “ LP sounds like VU and Nico. Both are different and both are totally essential.
Another great updates. I got a couple of grails myself this month
Dave Greenfield and JJ burnel
Fire & Water Japan Promo LP
And
Metallica Garage inc, Louder,Faster,Heavier on LTD White vinyl 5 LP box set to 100 Copies world wide. Been lookint for a copy for over 20 years.
Stupid question, Outside of Big Star, how do you find out about all of these bands and their releases? Your channel is constant music education. Amazing!
Radio City Big Star Cover is an image taken from famous photographer William Eggleston. Nice Finds!
Yes! Thanks so much!
Always an education on vinyl Dillon I know half of the records you showed, the rest I do now.
Thank so much!!!
I don’t know any of these but they sound interesting for sure
I don't even have 300 records in my collection in 5 years of collecting and he does it in a month haha. Such a great stack of rare stuff! Love your videos, greets from The Netherlands.
What I failed to mention is that I sold about 250 records out of my personal stash this month as well. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Well this was balls-to-the-walls nuts. I don't know how you can top that. Now you can definitely take a few years off, not just one. But seriously good for you. I will concur January was a buyers market and was able to acquire stuff I never expected to and for almost under-valued prices. Enjoyed! Definitely some I didn't know but nothing can top Relatively Clean Rivers. If you ever see another, or an upgrade copy, pretty please think of me for the downgrade. I'll send ya a uhaul box of choice stuff. Cheers
Great video, amazing pickups! Can u please tell us where u got that cool green t shirt with the dinosaur? 🦖 ❤
Right here… www.noblerecordstore.com/store
My brother has realatively clean rivers first pressing.
I envy your record collection!! This is coming from a 27 year old newbie!!
Well, me at 27 would have been green with envy. I’m sure when you’re old like me, you’ll have records you never dreamed you’d have
I just got an original saint anthonys gyre still sealed.
Piledriver by Dennis The Fox the drum intro is 🔥🔥
Great album!
How did you get this much killer stuff into one video?? This is unbelievable, even by your high standards. Congrats on all the amazing finds!
Thanks! Now I don’t have to buy records the rest of the year! 🤣
It’s always mystified me just how rare the My Solid Ground is. I think I ONCE saw an original in a store here, for a very steep price. It’s an absolutely killer record!
Yeah it’s a killer for sure!
Pfff pretty epic 🤩
Relatively Clean Rivers!!!!
One thing I’m feeling is overwhelmed. The prospect of screen shotting every one of these and all your other huge haul vids, and learning the titles memorizing the covers and searching for them or at least keeping my mind open to stumbling on them. Yeeesh!!!
Interesting albums you show us here, but have you showed any Sky Sunlight Saxon solo album or swedish GOAT or "Trummor och Orgel" (Drums and Organ) both in psych style
I think I showed sky Saxon when I first
Started my channel but not sure which video it was
Just started with vinyl again, and my question for you is. What if I can not find this one item i bought on the app disqo
Not sure, I’d probably go to your profile and try your find your purchased tab.
@@noblerecords meaning I bought a 7’ and to look on Disqo for the worth of it.
I got a Dylan greatest from 66’ not to be found on Disqo
I am the one who managed to find the extra tracks for the upcoming Galaxis release from talking with the band. Everyone needs to keep Ancientgreaserecords on their radar cause the other tracks are even heavier than the songs on the 45 😉
Hey dude! That’s dope man! Can’t wait!
Where did you get that shirt? I want one
Get one here: www.noblerecordstore.com/store
Absolutely Incredible. Everytime lol
I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of "Radio City" for a couple of bucks in a cheapie bin in the 70s. Even luckier. I didn't like the album and only played it once. Looking forward to getting to know it a little better when I pluck it out of storage.
Awesome! You’re in for a treat!
The Carolinas must be full of people with some serious vinyl addiction.
It’s got at least one 🤣
A lot of people from the generation that bought these albums new retired/retiring/will retire down there.
When I happen upon these videos I always get the impression I’m watching a stamp collector and not a music fan.
Well then you’ve not seen many of my videos.
@@noblerecordsIn fact over the years I’ve seen dozens of your videos. All I’m saying is that as a fan of anything we choose to collect sometimes we can be more enamored with the object. It happens even more when people become content creators. Inevitably they seem to become more about creating content and flexing than the content (in this case the music) itself. As an example, the Heath Brothers is incredibly collectible and impressive to show but it’s in no way a jazz-funk record.
I have a super clean Josephus on hookah.
These vids are interesting. Have you heard of Dust? Something you might know of or enjoy.
Oh yeah, I love dust! We get them pretty regularly in the shop, and I’ve had copies for a long time, great stuff!
@@noblerecords too bad. I was thinking I could send my copy to you. I got it from a friend when it came out, listened two or three times, and I should check it condition. I will see if it has Dust in pink on cover.
I just want a reasonably priced banana splits a picture disc
Dillon: " This is Food. A essential pysych record." Also Dillon : Holds up album with a cover photo of 4 encyclopedia salesmen. 😂😂
🤷♂️🤣
Have you noticed these types of records go up in price since your channel has gotten more popular?
No, I really don’t think I have that kind of influence.
Nothing to do with the subject of the video, so apologies.
Are polyester outer sleeves a good choice?
Save some for the rest of us. Lol
I got that stonewall from ya its awesome splatter played nice I love story behind it --- I liked your other video talking about in store vibes how you like talking meeting people - I remember street light records opened in San Jose ca. you'd walk in no one said shit to you entire visit very weird vibes no music playing weird then you go few blocks towerecords its like a party - i been uploading tons rock vinyl come check it out its all over - I could use some rock friends - ☠☠☠
Killer
super rare...
🥩
I'll give ya $100 for all of ‘em!
No, you won’t 🤣
@@noblerecords I tried! 😂
Sell while you can.
No
@@noblerecords hahaha 🤣
How about a record rule for one year. Bring one record in, let five go?
Oooo I like that
Thr only thing I don't understand about Dillon is why he doesn't like Phish.
I do kinda like em. Just not wild about em.
@@noblerecords it's one of those things where they have so many songs, so many periods, and so many jams it's hard to know where to start.
Id love to hear more about how you actually found them. It's not exactly a crazy find if you just pay a few thousand bucks to someone online . Hoping some were found in the wild, either way be good to hear how much you paid
Well I don’t pay and tell for many reasons. And I never will. Not really anyone’s business.
They are found in various ways, would be nice to find them all out in thrift stores but that will never happen with this type of stuff, you gotta get creative on how to get them. Some I found in collections, but most I traded with friends. Which is also special to me.
@@noblerecords Yeah I get that, but the video is called Vinyl Jackpot, suggesting you paid a lot less than they were worth or got lucky buying a collection where someone didn't know their worth. Kinda sad if you hit the jackpot off buddies 😂
300 records in 30 days... That's 10 records a day! 😂 Good luck trying to listen to all of them... Geez
Cliff notes summary: every record that’s shown “here’s a super rare, private press record that’s killer. A must have for any collection”
Me: sigh
Well that’s what I’m into, you new here?
😂 and then you actually listen to it and realize why it's so rare and hard to obtain, the music is absolute ass and most people used theirs as frisbees.
That's like....your opinion man@@njwtube
Record collecting is going to take a hit in 2024. So prepare yourself Downstairs Hipsters. Great Finds!! Wish I had thousands of dollars for Rare LPz, maybe I'll dip into my retirement funds/401K 😂
I’ll always be doing it! I was in it before the wave! I’ll be in it when it’s not cool again!
@@noblerecords Born in 85 and started collecting in 2000. It's wild when you stumble across an OG collector that started in the '70s. All of a sudden your street cred isn't so valuable. Great generation to be born in.
