There is a lovely big building across the road The Marine Hall within the Marine Gardens which is currently run (very badly i might add) by WBC. They are looking for someone to run this entertainment complex for the next 5 years as it is "under performing". It could host a multitude of events all year round such as music, theatre, dance, indoor sports events like darts and snooker and conferences etc. It also has the wyre lounge bar with a beer garden by the beach which could be reopened. You need tourist accommodation to cater for this so Fleetwood should looking to retain any hotel/tourist accommodation in fact they should be looking to increase it...there is land to do it. There has never been any appetite to invest in Fleetwood and if this goes ahead they may as well knock the Marine Hall down and build a prison with sea view cells...just look down the road at Lytham for ideas.....
I think in principle putting a company with experience in the entertainment business is a good idea. With pressure to make money too might be the incentive needed to fully promote and find entertainment that will put bums on seats. Opening the bar during summer is also an absolute must for me. With regards to the Boston, I'm all for private investment but I just think this particular location is questionable. Thanks for adding to the debate.
The policy is just words to get permissions through, nothing will be implemented when it comes to it. How often do we see murder on our streets due to someone being released that shouldn’t have been, well them sort of people end up in places like this.
i think the prospect buyer has a good intensions for buying this hotel to help people who fell into addiction to change their life, but in the other hands,it can affect other tourists because the accommodation they can afford when they tour fleetwood will be reduced.but anyway this is an absolutely beautiful video to share..the hotel itself is really very nice..i hope the next owner will conserved its beauty..and continue helping people who deserves a second chance, thanks for sharing this video
@@fleetwoodinfocus7051 yesss exactly..im sure that hotel is one of the best ones there..and i can see that us very nice hotel..i hope there's another way to resolve the issues and will be heard the community for better Fleetwood..🤞🙏
@@fleetwoodinfocus7051but they have to respect the community about this case..i hope everything it goes well..and the prospect buyer must try to find other place to do their mission instead of taking this beautiful place of Fleetwood..
@@fleetwoodinfocus7051i hope this will resolve so as not to damage the hotel which is one of the frequent stays of tourists and it is one of the best hotels in fleetwood, lets hope for a better results..
Such a an awful proposal ...keep this away from our lovely quiet FLEETWOOD...we don't need anything connected to drug addicts and ex offenders and what if there are dangerous needles being left around ...keep it as a hotel please ...we are not a dumping ground here for miss-fits ..
Fleetwood is a small town. People could argue it would have a more negative impact than a bigger town/city that could absorb 24 potential problems much easier.
Not surprised there has been objections, this won't end well 😮
My worries too Michael.
Welcome comeback again Fleetwood nice hotel

Absolutely correct about the policy. The applicant was well aware of the potential backlash, so included it before being requested it.
They don't give too donkey poo about this town
Fortunately, most Fleetwood Folk still do. So here's hoping Kenny.

Unfortunately good intentions aren't always the best intentions. It's important Fleetwood's community are heard too

Good intentions maybe but dumps them all on our doorstep and goes back home to his nice suburban Cheshire retreat

Terrible idea

The problem is the applicants probably don't appreciate the impact on Fleetwood so close to our tourism spots.
