@M. Nurhaikal It was world class before until 2013. The previous administration made it look terrible by corrupting the MRT3's maintenance provider. As a result, trains started to malfunction and accidents happen a bit often. Thankfully Duterte is rehabilitating the whole train system to regain its former world class glory
Why do they use tram cars? ie low platform levels with triangular fronts to punch away cars in collisions. Are there sections where it runs on the road?
@@Vendell_23 well dalian trains still retain the "tram" elements in their design, though they do look more modern. They should use something like Kuala Lumpurs Ampang line has, their rolling stock was formerly tram like railcars too. But now its fully gangway all walk through carriages.

If only the system can be converted to a third rail power! The overhead power lines are eyesore! Good thing MRT 7 would employ third rail power. And then Filipinos would realize it is actually possible not to have overhead lines. Lol.
This train made my nanay almost pass out plus there is no space in the carriage while being slow, but it's better than being stuck in EDSA for 3 hrs...
I am Russian and I like the Japanese railway. It seems that every Japanese people have their own train, because I have never seen such a number of trains anywhere else.
@Packo_ Hubu A Japanese company mainly built the MRT Line 3, but the condition deteriorated significantly due to the change of the maintenance company. The rails are still severely distorted and are forced to run at 30km/h. Currently, repair work is under way with a Japan's ODA (Official development assistance), but this would not have trouble unless the maintenance company was changed. I think that is a very wasteful situation.
@@TUbe-bv4fy The maintenance provider has been changed back to Sumitomo - its original Japanese maintenance provider last month. Full rehabilitation is currently ongoing and is expected to finish in 2 years. After that, trains will run at the same speed they used to be at 60 kph
heloo, can i use your video on my TV Program channel? i am a one of the creative team at KUY GTV and of course your channel youtube's name will published too i'm waiting for your feedback, thank you..
@@_RailWay_ The reason is because of low mainenance, the traind are over its limits in carrying passengers, and because of the MRT crash so they want to be more careful. I do not know why they made the trains slow without putting more trains on the line. The whole line was supposed to let around 16 trains go through but most of the time there are only 10 or 12
@@JoshuaRail3070 That is great! Hoping the mrt will be able to improve and fix the viaducts and rails to get the speed back to 65 kmph, i do not know if it is sumitomo's job but they really need electric doors on the station platform so idiots do not rush into the train, and finally have proper train schedules!

ie low platform levels with triangular fronts to punch away cars in collisions. Are there sections where it runs on the road?
No, they only work on a dedicated line.

I don't know
