@ThatOldBiddy Thanks!! We put this cache out less than two months ago and it's the only nano we know of that has 22 favorite points already!! Most of the logs for this cache read something like "omg that was hilarious," and THAT is what makes it way worthwhile!! Thank you so much for your kind words of support!
@Jenifer13091976 Thanks for the kind words, and for the support! Love the idea of hiding a big nano in the woods, ha! Our nano was made from plumbing supplies, all found at the local home improvement store, and then painted black with plastic fusion paint. Mr. UC even sanded the top to make it more like the shape of a nano. Just curious, where did you see another video of a big nano? Would love to check it out. =D
@Zstar300 Did you watch the video all the way through? The little nanos are not the point. And, by the way, they didn't cost us anything, so it wasn't "a waste of money." Those are blinkies - little lights that have a magnet at the bottom. The very first nanos were blinkies, people took the batteries out and that left a little space inside for a tiny log. Mr. UC got the blinkies for free and painted them black.
We have a Garmin Oregon 450 which we use for saving waypoints and for double-checking the coords for the hides we put out there. Also if we know we're going to be caching in a rural area, we'll download the caches and use the Garmin. Most of the time, though, we use our iPhones with the groundspeak app. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@twish1999 The big nano is made with plumbing components, which Mr UC painted black using plastic-fusion paint so it won't peel off. The top part is a cap for a large PVC pipe. This was his design and it's such a hoot, huh?!
Not too many people have made mention of swag or trackables in their logs but you're right, I would think that the inventory list might clue some folks in. But according to the logs we receive, most are surprised! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Again a very clever Geocache :) I'm really looking forward to our trip to Florida in a few weeks. And well we're also gonna go geocaching. So hopefully we'll also find some of caches like this one. Greetings from Germany again ;)
There have been instances where geocaches have been mistaken for possible bombs (mostly ammo cans or pvc pipes resembling pipe bombs) but more and more police are aware of geocaching and know what to look for. Responsible cache-hiders put geocaching stickers on questionable containers so they are easily identifiable as part of the game. One thing we've learned, though, by geocaching for a couple years is this: Most of the time, people totally don't pay attention to what other people are doing.
Originally we were just going to put the cache only out there... but we had some nanos and we were *never* going to use them for geocache hides, so this was the perfect place to put them! :D
Well, for us the point is the journey itself. Geocaching has taken us to places we most likely never would have gone, to see sights we never would have seen or to take notice of things we never would have noticed. We like finding things that other people hid for people like us to find! There's a little rush when you get to say, "Found it!" We don't care about the points, we don't care about the little trinkets, we just like exploring and geocaching gives us a reason to explore.
@UniqueCaches I like the extreme challenge of a nano myself. They can be hidden in full view & be hard to find. You have hit on an awesome idea with this nano! I absolutely love it! In fact, it would be just as fun without the extras. Maybe babygorrila doesn't like them because they are a challenge & they like light post skirt magnetics instead.
It always amazes me when someone complains about a new idea and something different. Even if you HAD spent money on it, you're going to end up entertaining a lot of people with this cache. The money would be WELL spent. Great idea -- good going!
@UniqueCaches Sounds good. I have two more that are about half done, and I need to get placed first. Looking forward to more great videos from you as well!
@draposo79 Nope, sorry, we don't post GC numbers nor do we link in any way to the actual cache pages. That would make these videos into actual spoilers, and we're committed to keeping the caches as anonymous as possible, thanks.
Of course! Hi Joe! Yeah we've had this channel for a while now but we've tried to keep the account here separate from the gc account so these videos are less likely to be spoilers for the locals. It's been a while... We miss you!!
You guys are awesome!!!!! Shame I live in Australia Might copy some of your ideas they are so AMAZING. any one of them is better than any idea I've seen in Melbourne :)
absolutely love this cache so imaginative and a whole new way of thinking about a nano. just a shame its in america so I can not visit it but still really cool.
I responded to a "suspicious package" (2002) once (one of three agencies) so the others were already on scene calling the bomb squad when I laughed to myself walked up and "Opened the Bomb" and what was really funny (No kidding) there was a toy police car inside. But that was the old days of caching.
On the GC page, the size is "not chosen," and though the description talks about nanos and shows pictures of nanos, it never says that this particular cache is a micro or a small. It just doesn't say. :D
Sorry we didn't answer sooner but we have been working. Sorry but we don't give out GC#'s or locations for our caches. However, we aren't that hard to find. If you go on the gc site and do some searches in Florida you might be able to find us. Good luck.
I hate nanos with a passion, but I LOVE yours!!! That is fabulous! What is the big nano made out of? I saw another big nano somewhere online and I really want to hide one in the woods... because who wants to go into the woods to find a stinkin' nano?! Ignore the haters, honestly this is what makes caching fun, the silly stuff! :)
I like your sense of humor. I'm probably one of those people who'd go through all 5 actual nanos. I just have one question. Wouldn't people catch on if the logs mention swag or trackables or if they're listed in the cache's inventory?
We don't give out GC codes, sorry. We posted the cache with no size listing at all. True, it's not really a nano, huh. But thanks for watching. :D
@ThatOldBiddy Thanks!! We put this cache out less than two months ago and it's the only nano we know of that has 22 favorite points already!! That is nasty and totally brilliant at the same time :-) great idea

Thanks for stopping in, and for leaving us a comment! (Glad ya liked it!) =D
I love a nano, and this is a great idea. While I probably won't place a giant nano, I like the decoy idea. Nicely done.

I just put it out yesterday. First find this morning and already 1 favorite. I love this idea and wish I had found something this cool.
11 years ago! wow.
Love the mega-nano! Great idea! I hope many people had fun finding it.
@fastchapter It's made from plumbing supplies, you can find the parts in your local home improvement store.
@SportaBecki Thanks! (We check on this cache pretty regularly, and amazingly, people STILL put it up way high!! Oh well.)
GREAT FUN!!! I wish we had some people as creative as you and your husband down here in Naples. Thanks and keep it up! [:D]

All of the parts were purchased in the plumbing section of a home improvement store.
also, I everything doesn't disappear when the billboard guy comes.
I love! those little nano magnet stubs, I've also used them as Dead Letter drops for fun with my friends :3
Thanks for the great compliments! If you place some "fun hides" be sure and take a video so we can see!!
Originally we were just going to put the cache only out there... but we had some nanos and we were *never* going to use them for geocache hides, so this was the perfect place to put them! :D

This cache should be called nano hell. HAHA....that is funny. Way to go.
It always amazes me when someone complains about a new idea and something different. Even if you HAD spent money on it, you're going to end up entertaining a lot of people with this cache. The money would be WELL spent. Great idea -- good going!
Found one like this in Decatur Illinois... But it was painted silver and placed on a metal bridge.
All the parts to make this container can be found in the plumbing department of your local home improvement store. :D
@UniqueCaches Sounds good. I have two more that are about half done, and I need to get placed first. Looking forward to more great videos from you as well!
@Shay1175 Thanks for your kind words about our cache!!

@UniqueCaches No, I think it's awesome! Is it just me, or do you guys like to make HUGE versions of small cache containers?
I love unique caches like this. The tongue-in-cheek is great! Come help me place some fun hides!
@ChaoticCaches Wow, that's a great compliment! Thanks!
I love it, wish we had some like that around where we live.
Thanks!! Well then we definitely think you should come here and find them (We love favorite points!!)!
Thanks so much for your nice comments! :D
That is great and the choice of matterials is so simple! I should have thought of that. Great Hide! I may have to place one of these myself.
Love the nano, what do your micros look like? a 30 gallon trash can with a lid painted gray?
Of course! Hi Joe! Yeah we've had this channel for a while now but we've tried to keep the account here separate from the gc account so these videos are less likely to be spoilers for the locals. It's been a while... We miss you!!
Neat idea! I was wondering if the published cache is stated as a nano? Cause technically it is, but technically it isn't? 😂
You guys are awesome!!!!!
Shame I live in Australia

or nano heaven if they find the big one first.
@rats7 LOL seems that way because of our last two (the film canister one before this one)!!
@rats7 HI RATS!! (Woohoo our #1 fan!) So glad you like it!!! So you don't think it will be annoying then!?!
that gray box also looks suspiciously like a disguised geochach; they sell at green geothiny
@MashPotatoProduction Thanks MPP!
I love your mutated nano seed! How on earth did you make the big nano? it looks fabulous!
All the parts can be found in the plumbing department of a home improvement store.
Sooooo, how do you make one??? That is a brilliant cache container!
Melissa Gula I would say that it is made of 4-8 inch pvc pipe with a screw top adapter and end cap
The diameter is up to you to decide
@justfixitnow77 grooooooooan! lol thanks for watching!
@howat123 Sure! You can get most of the parts in the plumbing supply department.
Cool! We'd love to see it, take a video please!! Thanks for watching!
On the GC page, the size is "not chosen," and though the description talks about nanos and shows pictures of nanos, it never says that this particular cache is a micro or a small. It just doesn't say. :D
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Where did you get the big nano? I love it! :D
Hi, sorry, just saw this.. yes, "swag" just refers to the toys or trinkets inside a cache. Thanks for watching!
LOL ... Roseanne Barr?!?! Seriously?! Ha!! But thanks for watching and commenting anyway!!
My friend and I have a "Bison" tube hanging in a tree, only the tube is 8 inches wide and 4.5 ft long!!!!
I am new to this and was wondering if swags was another term for trinkets?
Wow that sounds really cool! Please go take a video of it and upload it so we can all see! :D
Absolute total THUMBS UP on a cool video and cool cache!
Very clever. I really like it.
@UniqueCaches Oh, you're very welcome. I've enjoyed watching your videos.
@revleistico Cool, thanks!! If you make one, be sure and film it and let us know!
like it! just scrolling through some geocaching vids and getting some great ideas!!!
what type of gps do you use and thanks for the videos
oh, I must do this around here too! brilliant
The little ones? Actually they were given to us, but you can buy them online.
Sorry we didn't answer sooner but we have been working. Sorry but we don't give out GC#'s or locations for our caches. However, we aren't that hard to find. If you go on the gc site and do some searches in Florida you might be able to find us. Good luck.
Yea the big ass nano is cool
Awesome hide....thanks for sharing.
Would you mind telling us what you used to make the huge nano?
Yes, all the parts can be found in the plumbing section of a home improvement store. Thanks for watching!
@CachingStuff LOL I think that's a good thing, right?
What's the cache listing? What size did you offer when you posted it? That's not a nano. It's more like a puzzle cache.
@mngeocaching Thanks for watching and for the WTG!
very cool idea might do the same thing here near montreal
@babygorrila It's always really obvious when someone doesn't watch this video to the end!
I love this idea! What’s the GC number?
Very clever! I will replicatd this!
You guys really like your red herrings!! haha
Thank you very very much!!
@zyenpoald21 Thanks! Feel free to steal..!
I like your sense of humor. I'm probably one of those people who'd go through all 5 actual nanos.
I just have one question. Wouldn't people catch on if the logs mention swag or trackables or if they're listed in the cache's inventory?
What is it made of, PVC pipe threaded end cap
@svengalie LOL I was wondering if someone was gonna catch that..!!
@sharpshooter0508 Thanks!
In going to Florida over break can anyone tell me where this is

@TimmiTification Thanks Tim!
That is so awesome!!
