  • This Code 3 MX7000 light bar started life as a very boring all red ambulance bar with only 4 rotators. After a complete bare metal strip down, I used my imagination and put together something fun. Below are links to more content on my Facebook and other social media pages, as well as products that I used in this build and other products that I recommend for refurbishing light bars.

    Stainless tape on the reflectors works great and polished with Flitz is as good as a mirror. Really throws the light like crazy.

    Change them back to halogen bulb. These reflectors are designed for halogen who have pin point of light, while led bulbs doesn't have that pin point light resource, it spread all over and makes it really dim

      Agreed, i like them in the wig-wag or the ''arrowstick'' position, but for rotators the H1 halogen bulbs are hard to beat.

    Nice work! I'm just getting started on one. My department gave me the the MX7000 off our command, so I'm going to convert to blue and maybe a couple other things.

    How hard would it be to switch out my center fast rotator for a standard speed? And add takedowns from another parts bar i have. My current one is pretty basic

      MX7000 bars are super easy to work on. There are existing screw holes in the frame for anything you would want to add.

    What type of white/red led light did you use for the bar?

    • @thomasp942
      @thomasp942  2 роки тому

      If you are talking about the center rotators, those are call D-Tech. It's an actual Code 3 product but they are hard to find because they were not made for very long.
