I wasn't expecting such a quick turnaround and the build turned out great. My biggest takeaway was what you mentioned, the new sound of the bike. With the new intake did you feel any difference in horsepower when you took it out? It's definitely cool that you listened to feedback and then laid everything out and showed the time lapse. The Roadster seemed to be HD's answer to what riders were changing most often in the other Sportsters, so I'm not sure why the model is not more popular nationwide. Thanks for the video and looking forward to the next one in the series.
Thanks for watching. The combination of air cleaner and intake really doesn't make a noticeable power increase. On paper it probably increases horse power by like 2 HP. I will be doing more of these so definitely check back. I'm actually surprised too that the bike hasn't been more popular. It's a really nice sportster that (like you said) over comes some of the common weaknesses of the other sportsters.

Very sharp build, Matt. The clubman bar was a clever solution to the clip-on problem. It is cool that your dealership can take and customize stock bikes from time to time and offer them for sale. I haven't seen the dealers in my area do much of that (or not to this level, anyway).
Some great additions. Only difference I would make would be slightly higher/wider than stock bars, flat tracker style. My wrists could not stand those low bars !
Nice bike, i understand you r showing sensitivity to genuine harley parts because of dealership but for the rider ergonomics, CafeRoadster needs rear set controls..
I don't disagree. When we built the bike we didn't confine ourselves to using Only Genuine Harley parts (although that's how it turned out). We didn't even really look into rear set controls. That would definitely make it more of a "true" cafe racer setup.
hi matt, like what you have done to your roadster, I have the UK abs and I'm thinking about going the other way re builtwell keystones, but here's a question for you, can I get a longer abs brake line from the mc to the splitter underneath the lower tree, one end is the normal brake line fitting the splitter end is what looks like a small screw in , I think I would need a longer line to fit higher than stock roadster bars, I've heard the change is OK for say a 48, but that would be with stock 48 bars which are higher than stock roadsters, I'll check with my dealership next time I'm there, but if you could throw some info that would be cool too, thanks in advance kev
The clubman's aren't to my personal taste, I quite like the stock bars actually. But I really love everything else you did to the bike. I was quite surprised that with he filter and legal cans it seemed to sound much better than a standard Sportster. Is that your impression too, or just the way the audio came out? Thanks for sharing...
Hey Matt, is it possible to remove the rear fender? I've searched for pictures of a roadster without a back fender and haven't found anything. In the internet the pictures you found are for the iron or forty eight witouth a rear/back Fender. so.. is it possible?
Hi there, can you recommend a billet, illuminated license plate holder for a 2016 Roadster? The ones I see online apparently won't fit the Roadster because the swingarm is different from other Sportsters. Thanks!
Great build! I think if you make a more detailed video presentation of the bikes your videos will be much better. Check @ chaseontwowheels videos, he presents the bikes in a really cool way... Keep up with the good work amigo!

Nice Job Team Matt ! Really one of the best "CA" sounding bikes I've heard. Can't wait to stop by and take a look, hope it's still there.
Come on by. It just hit the floor this morning
love it wish we could have seen you on the bike and what your lean looked like after new handle bars.
just picked up my first bike, was this 2016 roadster [stock] will be getting a stage 1 kit. i absolutely dig this build you guys did with it.
I was under the impression clip ons from HD would fit this bike. It certainly says so in the catalog for this bike.
I like the bare frame rails at rear from stock and rear signal lights pushed back to make rear seem shrter. Very nice
Thanks for watching

Yea, those bars turned out great. Thanks for the commentary and for watching.

Yea, definitely not a long distance bar.
Awesome bike man I'm glad my Edge Cut ideas made its way in the build.
For sure. Thanks for the input.
Hi, greetings from Spain. Very nice job your guys did on this bike! Gave me a lot of ideas for mine. Thanks for sharing.
That is a clean Roadster! I think the 2-1 exhaust would be more beneficial for power gain.
adibee88 they couldn't do it because of California's stupid epa regulations
Jacob James CA great weather, bad rules.
Very nice , I love the clubmans, though I like them better with rear sets .. Good work.
Yea, we should have looked harder into the rear sets
had the wires to be cutted for the handlebar, or is it the stock lenght?
We had to change the throttle and idle cables because the stock ones are angled wrong. The Brake and clutch are stock.
TheKaventsmann you can run the wires thru the those bars, keeping stock wires

I would've liked to have seen your build with the wind screen or a front Cowell.
I could never pull off that seating position.
do another build like this but use rear controls and have someone short do the test ride
Nice really digging the build
Thanks for watching.

the front end looks a little long to me. Is there a lowering kit that van drop the front end a couple of inches maybe?
I know that it's way late, but is there a larger gas tank? Otherwise it's a sexy looking bike. Rear sets for me and it's sold.
Did you use a fuel tuner with the air and exhaust?
I'm looking to customize my new 2016 roadster what would it cost to complete my build like yours parts and service?
You can make the clip ons !
btw looks nice
HAha true. We didn't want to Custom fabricate anything.
Love the clubmans

You stumped me. I'm not sure about that.
my aunt rides the same bike which is why I went with the 2016 street bob. gotta have the 103!!!!!! that's a chick bike! !!
You know girls ride Street Bobs too right?
Love this build! On a side note, what helmet is that you are wearing!? Looks really cool!
Simpson outlaw bandit.
You need longer wires for the clubmans?
I can’t remember. Sorry man. I think stock will work
Take off your waterproof backing on your go pro for better sound quality
Did your legs hit the stock handlebar?
No.
Great looking bike! What helmet is that?
Bessas49 Simpson Outlaw Bandit.
What brand handlebars and size please?!
How do you think this bike would look with mini apes?
CreedX360 I think it would look dope with them. You could also do some t bars as well and it would look bad ass
dope bike
what kind / brand seat is that please....thanks
It's the Genuine H-D Seat. You can get it at any Harley dealer
I sent email from Brazil and they did not respond with the information of the coffee kit
Other than the exhaust it's nice
Clip-ons do fit this bike.
very nice although I would prefer my 2006 roadster.
also the cost of the upgrades and a parts list in the description.
We invested about 5,000 into parts and labor on the bike.
good a like
needs a quarter fairing to finish it.
Yea, that would be cool.
yeah the silencer pegs and grips look bad
Great build!

I subscribe to him so I'll have to take a closer look at how he does his videos. Thanks
