This has been beautiful to watch. Sometimes you just need to know that your human experience is universal. I’m in therapy because Kev & Liss made it normal 🎬🎬🎬
The African and African American community has history of if you go to therapy, you are weak. WRONG taking that leap to start therapy takes so much strength.
I think couples believe the love they have for each other will sustain the relationship, when in fact love is not enough. I believe it’s your personal demons that you bring into the relationship that will ultimately tear it apart. I see this time and time again. I know every couple is not perfect, but it really looks like these two women are hurting as a consequence of the actions of their husbands - who seemed to have brought their personal vices into the marriage. I wish them both healing and restoration. 🙏🏽
Very VERY gooood conversation! Love the point that Shafondra made about her therapist explaining how instead of being a victim we should recognize how we co-create our own experiences and from them learn those necessary lessons about OURSELVES. Love. it. ❤❤
I so think this episode should have been a full hour. This conversation was very transparant but soft and real at the same time. This was amazing to watch and very encouraging to seek outside counsel, for me preferably Godly, with a licensed individual and be ready to do the inner work. Thank you Codie and Tommie!
My God she looks like Laura Winslow form Family Matters and sound like her. What a testimony and a beautiful outcome. God is being gloried through their marriages, so much hope and encouragement displayed.
Wow, the couple that went through a divorce then got back together. Thanks for your truth about what you went through to come back together. I hope the other couple will find what they’re looking for in time. ❤️
The guy in white knows all the correct rhetoric but he isn't ready to implement what's being said. His wife is hurting and laughing and repeating mantras of "its ok" isn't going to heal the scabbed wounds. I feel for her though... bc she what's him to step up. But, until he stops holding back, the issues (whatever is causing him to hold back) will continue to exist. I pray that he gets to a place of vulnerability. Sir, she is your safe space, your best friend and your confidant. She won't leave you if you open talk abt said trauma(s). Let "it" go and get the healing. Shalom🙏🏼
This is so powerful beyond words. As a man thats been through alot, this really hits home. These are the shows we should be promoting in the black community, conversations about the reality of marriage and getting to certain points where you have to ask for help.
These episodes are really helping me in my marriage and so encouraging. Real people that have dealt with real problems in marriage. I can watch these shows all day.
This was amazing. The best season yet. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Davale and Khadeen and Tab and Chance, but Liss and Kev just took Couch Convos to the next level. I felt like I was watching an actual couples group coaching session. WOW! JUST AMAZING! 👏 👏 👏 👏 🎬 🎬 🎬
Kev & Mkos at their best! Love the transparency & honesty. Therapy is truly the best resolve for the journey of a healthy marriage! Black Love is worthy of the work.
This episode resonated with me in soooo sooo many ways. As a wife, stepmom and business owner with my husband, someone who has a therapist and has had the "let's fine tune some things in this relationship" person, this conversation is so needed and appreciated. I will share this for sure.
Thanks black love 👍💕💕💕💕 enjoyed watching and listening to couch conversations. Am not married but I just learn. I love therapy ... whichever way the therapy comes I love me therapy 💕🌹
YES ME AND MY PARTNER WENT TO COUPLE THERAPY WITH OUR PASTOR I WAS WILLING AND READY HIM NOT SO MUCH ,BUT ONCE WE STARTED WE LOVED IT WE FOUND OUT THINGS ABOUT OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER WE NEVER KNEW IT WAS GRATIFYING
If Glenn doesn't get himself into therapy, his wife is going to end up leaving him. He kept saying what he wants to do but isn't doing it. Bruh you are slowly killing your marriage
Thank you all for sharing such vulnerable conversations with us. Kev and Lis the way you genuinely conduct these convos remind me of the Love hour days, Love seeing this chapter of your evolution 👏🏽👌🏽
This is why I want a man spiritually, financially, and emotionally on a higher level than me because I don't want to have to carry or baby my husband's struggles he must be mature and totally leading with Christ Jesus in front and center. If not, the enemy will creep in!
"Jesus" is NOT enough. Therapy is a professional modality that is used to undercover blind spots and more. Try driving at night with your headlights OFF and ALL mirrors covered. Nooooo people, let therapy be the LIGHT. Folks use every other professional modality and have raggedy marriages because of the "let Jesus fix it" mentality. My Jesus loving former spouse was married twice more after they abandoned OUR children and family. Take your Jesus loving self to a professional licensed therapist!! Amen, church.
i feel terell. therapy aint for everyone and it is hard to find a good therapist. its so annoying to have to keep switching therapists and tell people you dont know all about your life. its exhausting. i think he was speaking on trying to find ways to self heal and i think that is just as good. it is harder but i think its admirable and requires patience. someone should do an episode on how to choose a therapist especially finding black therapists. i feel like its only recently ive started to see more options. i know therapy for black girls is a good site database to start search. but what are things to look for and where to look etc etc. and shaforndra talking about that spiritual healing in the end so good. i think thats a part of healing thats often left out in ttraditional therapy that needs to be addressed often
Anything with cuzins Liss & Kev i'm pullin up 🦋🎬
Same here! And hit the like button as soon as the video started. I already know I'm gonna like it. No need to think about it! 👻 🦋

Kev be looking at his wife as she speaks like "this girl so smart, damn!"
I love their relationship and I love how he loves seeing her shine. She is brilliant.
This has been beautiful to watch. Sometimes you just need to know that your human experience is universal. I’m in therapy because Kev & Liss made it normal 🎬🎬🎬
Now, THIS is the kind of reality show we need! Black people working out their issues to be better people for each other!✊🏾✊🏾💪🏾💪🏾
The African and African American community has history of if you go to therapy, you are weak. WRONG taking that leap to start therapy takes so much strength.
I love Melissa! She be in her bag. She needs to have a show where she gives couples advice or insight.

I know every couple is not perfect, but it really looks like these two women are hurting as a consequence of the actions of their husbands - who seemed to have brought their personal vices into the marriage. I also think love has to be nurtured and grown..
Very VERY gooood conversation! Love the point that Shafondra made about her therapist explaining how instead of being a victim we should recognize how we co-create our own experiences and from them learn those necessary lessons about OURSELVES. Love. it. ❤❤
I just love Liss and Kev man, I’ve grown soo much from watching their love hours!

I noticed that bout him too.. he is still afraid to address something.

It was brave for that guy who hadn't finished the therapy sat through everything and actually took the advice in.
Glad you all are making therapy normal for us!!
These episodes are really helping me in my marriage and so encouraging. Real people that have dealt with real problems in marriage. I can watch these shows all day.
My peoples blessing the peoples!!!❤❤❤❤
Kevin and Melissa 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 , you both are doing a great job. The questions are deep and real.

I feel like I’m in therapy too. It’s their ministry. 😢 They have a gift!
Yes. I like Kev and Liss’ version the best.
I love this series. Keep them coming please! Great job Kevin and Melissa.

Kev & Mkos at their best! Love the transparency & honesty. Therapy is truly the best resolve for the journey of a healthy marriage! Black Love is worthy of the work.
This was sooo refreshing to watch, love the uncomfortable, much needed conversations
It’s never to early to start couples therapy Married or not it’s is a game changer ❤
Friend?
Love seeing Shaf and Glenn and their journey.
What an open, vulnerable conversation!
It great when we can find healing in the midst of our issues! So glad these couples found their way! Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️🌹🦋🌺❤️❤️❤️

Very helpful conversation.
Really enjoyed listening to us advocating for therapy. This is how we heal and move forward.
Gold, pure gold🥺
So good. So needed. Thank you.
Marisa is a beautiful person inside and out. Praying her husband appreciates her properly.
Kev and Liss is such an inspiration 👏🏾🙏🏾
Kev took me out with "Sounds like a worded question"😂😂😂
I do believe now therapy is very important for a better relationships/family life.
Highly enjoyed this video
To see y’all’s evolution maaaan! ❤ it’s a beautiful thing. My finger is in the therapy trigger 🥺😊

Thank you for giving us great blueprints for our future homes.
These are great videos
This is so necessary. I think everyone should go through therapy and continue with maintenance throughout life.
If Glenn doesn't get himself into therapy, his wife is going to end up leaving him. He kept saying what he wants to do but isn't doing it. Bruh you are slowly killing your marriage
🎯🎯🎯
Great feedback and couples to share
This is an awesome conversation.

This is why I want a man spiritually, financially, and emotionally on a higher level than me because I don't want to have to carry or baby my husband's struggles he must be mature and totally leading with Christ Jesus in front and center. If not, the enemy will creep in!
So you want the man to have to carry & baby your struggles instead?

Wow 🥺 I love this!
I wish they could include recommendations of therapist I would definitely like to start this journey
I believe it is done at 41, IJN!
Wow..20 yrs together? They look really young..
Those two men were a li' broken. Do the work before the marriage and I think you will be okay
I completely agree!! 🙏🏽
I don't believe it works that way...usually one is not aware of their trauma until after triggered in a marriage or long-term relationship.
None of us are broken just hurting...
@@darisesanker6022 agree with both statements you don’t know what you don’t know
He making up excuses not to go and hate that they was telling him about himself.
Kinda feel like each couple needed more time, there all unique and experience different things.
A lot of people in the comments diagnosing the husband in white shirt.

Marisa is not that into Terell anymore. I pray they are able to find their way back.

I’m so glad the wife had the wherewithal to get a divorce and move on, rather than trying to fix her husband.
