  • After upgrading the brake master cylinder, I decided to try an M/C brace. Join me as I test firewall flex and step-by-step installation of the brace. Let's see if it's really worth getting one.
I went with the Perrin brace: amzn.to/38BHmbY
Then there's one from Grimmspeed: amzn.to/2NkQTNe
Both will fit the 03 to 08 Forester as well as WRX and STI. This may cover other models also, so check to see what will work for you. PLEASE, do your own research.

@DIY EVERYTHING was the brake master upgrade a STI MC? This looks it would benefit more on the track, but having the upgraded calipers should work just fine for the street.

Did this make much of a difference in pedal feel?

It did make the pedal feel firmer and more responsive.

    But it still moves.......

Yes it does. No brace will completely stop movement but it will reduce it giving a firmer pedal feel.

@@DIYEVERYTHING Ok, I understand. I wanted to try a similar thing on my legacy, but I'm having trouble finding a brace cause I'm right hand drive.
