Oh My Gosh, I love this project. I think it would be perfect for my granddaughters. My son passed away right before Thanksgiving and I think this project would make a beautiful gift for our three daughters (our granddaughters) for his birthday in February. Thank you Lorrie, you have the most amazing projects. ❤️❤️❤️
You can also do this with rubber stamped images. Years ago I made some of these where I stamped and heat embossed some beautiful Christmas angels on tissue paper and then adhered them to the candle using the same process you did. They are super quick and easy and the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to do this with pictures though. Thanks for the idea. BTW, your grandbabies are beautiful!
My daughter is getting married and this will be a great way to memorialize family that is no longer with us! Thanks for sharing

Thank you for showing how to use design space as well. I have watched a b of these types of "how to" it was applied with wax paper over the top. I tried it on a led wax candle epic fail it was bumpy "melted" behind the picture im going to give it one more shot doing it this way thank you again

OMG i love making them. I used waxed paper. Ill try it this way to see which way ill prefer. I made some to sell for Christmas and it was a hit. These make great gifts. I have a cricut and will try it. Thank you so much😇
Which method did you prefer. Did you print on to wax paper or just put wax paper over it then apply heat ?

I did these years ago with wax paper and decorated with brads for a party favor, I think it was 40 candles.

Those are awesome could you use that technique on battery candles? They seem to have a waxy finish as well.. I did a manger scene with vinyl on them for Christmas and was surprised that they seemed to be waxy I steady of plastic.
I usually Mod Podge this is a great alternative.
R S, do you mean you simply mod podge over the tissue? Whenever I have tried to put a stamped image onto a candle I have only managed to make a hot melted mess.

No, it is a gun you can get at Michael's. It is mostly used to do some embossing.

Can u use epoxy resin over the finished project to give it a nice glossy look
I’m not sure I’d want to burn epoxy resin
If I were to use vinyl on these candles and burn it would it cause a fire?
I’m not comfortable answering that since I’ve never used vinyl. I would imagine it will melt and smoke. Personally, I wouldn’t do it

I did this with wax paper. Have you tried that?
Laura Calderon I prefer this method but i know there are several ways of accomplishing a similar look. I always say “do what works for you”.
I usually also add a layer of wax paper on top of the image. But will try this also...seems like it gives a seamless image.
I resize my photos easily in microsoft word. A lot easier than this process.
