Elite Dangerous Odyssey Source of Settlement Defense Plans

This video describes how you can gather Settlement Defense Plans. Apart from collect them from Irregular Marker (threat X), you can look for "Minor Wreckage" on landable planets, if you found crashed skimmers, land your ship and download the data. After it is done, quit the game to desktop then restart it to repeat the process.
My advice is transfer your data to your ship before logging out if the data is important to you, yes there is a chance that your data disappears if you just quit the game while the data still in your backpack.

ive been to 3 already. and all i've found were canisters and drones :/

I cannot, for the life of me, find even one crashed skimmer at any of the "Minor Wreckage" sites that I've visited. I've checked all the ones with no threat and with threat ratings. Do they simply not spawn crashed skimmers anymore?
