Plus he reveals the origin of his nickname and his beard's disappearance after Manly's 2008 Grand Final win. (He famously had his beard shaved by teammates - while he was sleeping).

i'll never forget how well he treated my five year old daughter post match vs the Tigers. We were decked out in Tigers kit but she asked me "who's dat?" and without thinking I said "Thats the Wolfman honey" and she straight away went "Huh? Wolfman??? Like Jacob? I LOVE Wolfman !!!" (From twilight ). She ran over asked to be lifted up by him, which he looked at me first in agreement and spent the next twenty minutes in his arms as fans came up asking for photos with him (and now her) and would say "Oh wow, your daughter goes for the Tigers?" lol
That was just on ten years ago now and shes a diehard Manly fan ever since....usually that would mean disowning a child ,for most, if they went for Manly lol but we're all cool with it because of 'The Wolfman'. Thank you David.

This dude and manly were a pretty cool team to watch on the field especially how well they did during the 2011 season and grand final against the warriors. Was hoping for our first championship with the team we had that year but manly were just too good.

Always hated Slater and thought he was a dirty prick till that tackle. He showed great sportsmanship and genuine care and concern for Wolfy that day and completely changed my opinion of him. I wouldnt say i liked him but i respect him and was happy i was wrong about him

I always liked The Wolfman. He could have played more games and won another premierships in 2011 but he had some bad injuries.

Other than Brett 'Snake' Stewart, Wolfman was my favourite in that 2009-2014 period.

I played against his brother John and David in juniors and John was a much better player but had no luck at all with injuries
