Given the Hammer covers a longer distance across field but arrives at the same time as the Fox at the 10m mark, The hammer must be running faster to compensate for the extra distance even if he was slightly ahead 60m away.The Hammer was at speed quicker though as the Fox had to recover from nearly being tackled and took longer to accelerate to full speed and had the ball in hand.Close call ! Only a sprint would resolve this one !

I’m pretty sure there used to be a foot race on GF days in the past. I remember Stan Jurd won a handicap race a long time ago too, he picked up a well deserved thousand dollars for it too! I’m going to say it, that was a lot of money back in the day. 😂
JAC is nearing his 30s and has been plagued by injuries, it clearly has affected him and he is no longer as quick as he use to be in his peak around 2016-2020. He has a strap around his leg you don’t have to be an Einstein to figure out that age and injuries deteriorate you.

The previous record owner was the Fox at just under 39km/h, whereas as the Hammers record was previously around 37km/h. This was claiming Fox was running at 34km/h, while the Hammer was running at 40km/h at its peak (only 4km/h off Usain Bolts peak), which is dubious. While I agree the Fox is not in form, there is probably a parallax error at play with the Telstra tracker for such a discrepancy. Personally, I think currently, Saab and Dominic Young are faster than both.

Why are people just willingly ignoring that the hammer is the first player to ever crack 40 kmph and even then he slowed down slightly to fix his angle. Undoubtedly the fastest in the league arguably fastest almost ever
